★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took this ferry across to Ferragudo and back, and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. It was fantastic value at 21 Euros for 3 adults and 2 young children (the children were free, so presumably 7 Euros return per adult), and we were able to book a return time with the friendly and polite skipper, who gave us a number to call in case we wanted to change it. Another couple boarded for the return journey who wanted to go to Portimão, so we said we didn't mind going there first, as it meant we got a nice long boat trip! I'd definitely take this taxi again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a little excursion across the river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at the Tivoli marina Portimao. The water taxi is a great service to get over from the marina to Ferragudo (either Praia Grande or the town itself) We walked round one day which took an hour and a half! The water taxi takes about 2 mins. The boat doesn’t have a set schedule...phone to book and the driver explains which marina gate to wait by (AB). Costs €20 for 4 of us one way. The service currently stops at 7pm so we got a taxi back.
