★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very authentic Portuguese. Massive portions so offer for 2 with the main meals unless very very hungry. The Chafana stew is incredibly meaty and rich, not like UK stew with just meat and no veg.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always busy at lunch time but the service and food are excellent value for the modest price. We had large portions of bacalhau in a cream sauce, salad, fresh rustic bread and olives together with beer and wine, expresso coffee and a port wine for a total of 14 euros

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there on a Tuesday on purpose to try the famous Chanfana. It was great! Very well prepared and very tasty.
The staff was very nice. We went at lunch time and everything was very fast, even having a full room.
Extra mention to the bread, that it was awesome.
Going back there for sure :-)
