★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed in the Indy House last summer and it was absolutely amazing! The rooms are stunning (yes, they aren´t the biggest but this was not a problem at all). The staff are so friendly, the breakfast is good and the location is also perfect. I honestly can´t recommend the indy house enough. By far one of the best places I have ever stayed!!!! 10/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice hotel with detailed design ideas to combine vintage and modern elements. Young and friendly staff. Our room was nice and clean. Yes, as other guests wrote, the bathroom sinks are super small and there was no wardrobe. The old building is a bit loud (you hear other guests), but for that problem the only solution are earplugs :)
Following suggestions we would have to even improve the experience quite easily:
- the kitchens could have a small manual on the pin boards on how to deal with the used dishes and tableware. There was a bit confusion among the guests if the dishes should be put in the little dishwasher, washed by hand or just stacked next to the sink. Also there could be more sponges to clean the pots after use.
- There is a very nice garden/terrace in the backyard. Unfortunately there are just old broken chairs to sit - a bunch of simple deck chairs or loungers would give the opportunity to relax in the sun after a day in the city. Also the plastic roof is a bit odd on sunny days.
- Our room had a balcony, a few chairs would have been nice there as well.
Thanks a lot, we would come again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the most amazing experience at the Indy House. They knew it was my birthday so upgraded me and my partner to the suite with breakfast brought to the room each morning. I was so moved by this kind gesture.
Free drinks in the afternoon is a great idea and a lovely setting of there outside seating area.
All in all a fantastic experience. I can't speak for the shared facilities, but the staff, venue, the location was all in all a 10/10 experience. Extremely good value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spend few days at Indy House. Really noisy place full of student and no one to welcome you when you arrive. I don't recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here for 2 nights, Sunday to Tuesday. I had a smaller room but even so the accommodation was perfect to be a base to explore Lisbon! It's really easy to get to from the Metro and Tram system too. Really pleasant breakfast every morning and although I didn't make the most of it there is a "happy hour" in the evenings too. Room was very well maintained and tidy when I arrived too. Comfortable beds and en-suites were great. Don't really come here for a view though. All in all, amazing stay and would love to come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a large book of rules and the rules are enforced. If you aren't provided the rules upfront, ask to see them before signing the contract and only sign if you are happy with the rules. There is a concierge and live-in staff on site full-time and the management are at the building most days so there is a high level of oversight. That suits some people but not others. The garden and the other residents are great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent several months at Indy House it is a very nice place from first sight but which is unfortunately degraded by a catastrophic and totally unprofessional management !!
The manager of the hotel Judy is ready to do anything to have total control over the place and establish her authority. She came into my room several times without asking my permission, the surveillance cameras are used to control the slightest actions of the tenants and if you do not respect the rules, fines are distributed systematically. These fines can vary from 15 to 50 € to be paid in cash.
Blackmail is required and if you dispute you will be quickly informed that you can be fired from the hotel tomorrow morning. On the last day of my contract I refused to pay a fine of € 30. In response two big guys that I had never seen before came and intimidated me and asked me to pay.
It seems unreal to you, but you will quickly understand the reality when you go to Indy House. The manager is the center of the discussion as no one likes her and everyone has a personal story with her.
A place with great potential but unfortunately like its management.. tasteless and uninteresting management

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TOOK MY MONEY WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO OFFER THE STAY. The Indy house apartments took my money and refused to give me a refund for a trip from Australia to Lisbon. Travel in and out of both countries was restricted by both governments due to covid it had to be cancelled. Through no fault of our own Indy house wouldnt give our money back. Offered us a voucher unto 2024 dispite being on the other side of the world and probably never being able to use it. So here i am now trying to use the voucher with NO RESPONSE since 10 months ago. I can see you are now offering University accomodation.??? Give guests their money back for the hotel!!!! hopefully my credit card can get me a reverse on the transaction. i have been messed around for two years by this business. Good luck everyone who stays.
