★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I decided to book with The Surf Experience based on the great reviews. Unfortunately they never showed up to pick me up. I messaged to confirm the morning of the lesson and they responded confirming the pick up. After waiting 20 minutes I called with no one picking up. Called again about 20 minutes later. They said they had me confirmed for the next day (Thursday) and were already at the beach even thought the email said Wednesday. They seemed very sorry for the mix up, but I already had plans for the next day and wont be able to surf this trip. I wish I would have gone with one of the other companies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best surf school in Lagos. They have packages which sort you out for accommodation, your rides to the beach, gear and lunch at the beach too.
Staying in their main house is awesome. It's like one big surf family. You don't have to though. Amazing staff and they cater for all levels and know the spots to go.

-Staff was super friendly, created good vibes and are AWESOME (food was crazy good)
-Surf teachers really wanted to get one to the next level and were also super nice and fun people
-The location Villa Catarina was a dream
-Surf spots were really nice and constant waves

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn’t stay at the hostel but did day surf trips with these guys - everyone working here is so friendly and welcoming! The instructions are good - we had Sanna who was really good, gave feedback but generally just an amazing person with lots of energy! Loved and would recommend ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place with good instructors - Mark! Went to 2 different beaches due to different conditions.
Toby 1 and 2 are both great and it seems they are focused on giving everyone a great time. Met several people who are were comming there for 10 years.
The only downside is that the surf experience house has walls of paper, but the surf experience can help you with other accommodation if you feel like staying at a hotel - or just want to surf and stay in an air bnb.
The information might seem a bit scarse at times, but just ask or do as the others. May people have been there several days and know what's going on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The day started at 8:30am at the front of the building waiting for everyone to show up. There was no introduction or welcome. Then they started to randomly assign us to the vans and we had to pick up a board and wet suit - if you don't know you size - good luck. We asked around and they recommended my wife to take 10. There was no 10 left... My wet suit was damaged (hole) (seen at the beach). We drove to the closest beach 10 minutes. Then we were standing around and waiting for half an hour without explanation or intro. Finally the instructors decided to stay here. There was never a formal instructions of whatsoever. We carried everything to the beach, did a small warm up and lastly they asked for experience levels and set up some groups. Our group was rather big with 8 people. We had a very small introduction of the basics. No personal feedback. We skipped lunch because of the waves. We stopped at around 1:30 pm and I was really exhausted because of no break and was worse in the second half because of tiredness. We then got lunch - one kinda delicious chicken sandwich and an apple and water. We were back at the vans with all equipment at 2:45 pm - not at around 4 pm as advertised. The lack of communication over the whole day was as bad as the surfing without break. Other surfers where still in the water when we left. Our instructor was kind but overall there needs to be a clear leader that organizes it, smaller groups, clear announcements of what's happening a real break between two sessions and longer time on the beach. Cannot recommend
