★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is beautiful. We went here because of several Google reviews and because it is just 1 kilometer from our Airbnb appartement.
Driving down the road towards the restaurant we were entering a little paradise. We were early in the evening, but there were already locals drinking, eating and laughing at the table's outside in the garden directly at the trout pond. The pond is surrounded by trees which is very beautiful with the evening sun. The owner is very friendly, showed us the trout farm and the communication went well, though he didn't speak a lot of English. They serve delicious prepared fresh trout from there own pond with wine, bread, salad and a side dish. We loved the food and had a good time.
The owner told us that he has a Airbnb house just up the hill with a view over the trout farm and pond. We could see the house from where we were dining.

Super nice people, the couple that own and run it, as well as the people working there and other locals that pass by and pop in.
Very cheerful.
You can eat in or out.
Menu is one choice: like it or leave it. Simple. Fried trout, crispy on the outside and soft and on the inside. Simple lettuce side salad and reddish-brown beans, cooked and soaked in wonderful garlic olive oil.
Red or white house wine. Like it or leave it. Simple.
Rice pudding (delicious!!!) "arroz doce", or sometimes they also have a sort of crema catalana/ crème brûlée, which we call "leite creme", or choc mousse (from a packet :/)
All under one unique price: 10€ per person (April 2021)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice tranquil setting, as prevously mentioned it is fixed price 10 euros per person for trout,potatoes,beans,tomatoes,bread,ham,cheese, and choice of red or white wine. Might be too rustic for some, but it is good traditional Portuguese fare. If you are not Portuguese, be careful, because the boss tried to overcharge me ( I am a foreign tourist )

This is the best food I ate in a year. Fresh grilled trout, fresh baked bread, tasty salad, the wine, the cheese, the raw ham, the beans. Everything is perfect with simple exquisite taste in the November sunshine.
No choices. 1 meal. To me this is what eating is about. Once in while you come across such a place and it fills your heart with joy.
