I would like to thank the ambulance crew, doctors, nurses and team for looking after me so well today. I saw how hard these people are working and I hope they are getting the recognition they richly deserve. Thank you all !

Sheer chaos! My Husband was admitted at 02.45 on 29 November 2020, with a serious UTI and back pain which he’d had for 4 weeks and had been prescribed 3 different antibiotics..none of which have helped. He was immediately put on a drip for pain which didn’t help and then another drip but unsure what it was for. He waited 16 hours for bloods to be taken, no ultra sound and no water and had to drink water from the bathroom tap. Every time he requested assistance he was told to wait! Finally he was given some cold chicken noodle soup at 17.30-18.00, but still no water. He only managed to pass water once in that 16 hours. A doctor returned and informed Ed if his blood tests were clear he could go home, my husband tried to explain he needed a urine test and other tests, maybe an ultrasound as he thought he had a kidney infection. 19.30 - 20.00 The shifts changed no blood results, no ultra sound, no water...and to add final insult he found his medical papers still at the back of his bed ...they had not been handed over to the original attending physician. 18 hours later and no further assistance, unable to pass urine and in pain ..he wants to discharge himself and come home, it is now 20.40! I have phoned repeatedly for an update, each time I got through to emergency the phone was picked up and then cut off. Absolute sheer incompetence, negligence and against everything the Hypocratic Oath stands for.

I would like to thank the staff especially in the cardiology department,my husband has had first class treatment all the staff are very professional and he has been treated with the upmost care and attention,thank you for all the hard work you do

Don't know if they do this with all foreign nationals but we were triaged as blue, non urgent. We were the only people triaged at the lowest level so could have been there forever and never been seen. Had been reffered by the medical centre in Tavira with a letter. After 4 hours gave up and left.

I would give 5 negative stars if I could! An animal in a zoo would have been treated better than this hospital treated my third-trimester pregnant wife. She was left to lay in a concrete parking lot at 10:00pm for over an hour!! Apparently there was no beds at the medieval inn. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Avoid this “hospital” at all costs.

We are waiting more than 2 hours to see a nurse and then another 2 hours for a doctor! Very slow service; you must bring a pillow to sleep!! Fewer doctors, nurses, and workers!!need to improve a lot !!! Another visit to the emergency room as we hadn't gotten an appointment with the doctor in the last 3/4 months and the suggestion from Centro de Soude was to go to emergency Faro. But the doctor mentioned that he couldn't give any tests as he didn't have the right. Only a family doctor can give the test. I don't know how many months I have to wait to get an appointment with the family doctor.

I passed out, my wife called an ambulance. Ambulance driver was top. Arriving at the hospital I had to wait alone in a half open waiting container. After an hour there was nobody there anymore in the other containers. After some time I found a nurse who couldn't tell me anything. Although having an emergency at the hospital nobody help me or cared. After two and a half hours waiting alone, I left. I was tired and it was cold. I couldn't wait there anymore. I will pray to god that I won't have any emergency anymore and I don't have to go there again. Next time I'll fly to another country before.

I had my beautiful baby girl last week and it was an amazing experience from the moment I was seen by the dr. Amazing nurses and midwives. Most of them spoke English which made it easier on me as my Portuguese isn't the greatest. While at the hospital the 2 days following delivering, baby and I were checked many times day and night and we also had a car seat safety class (where they make sure that before you go home you bring your own car seat and they show you how to properly attach it). I know there are a lot of bad reviews about the hospital online which made me very worried but I can honestly say it was a great experience for baby and I, even in COVID time.
