★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The apartments at Vila Marachique are close to downtown Alvor, where several restaurants, bars and ice cream shops are. The blocks of buildings are located in a calm and peaceful area, with two nice shared swimming pools and a snack bar, all extremely clean and organized during our stay. We spent wonderful 7 days there. The Vila is 3 to 4 km from Portimão, so a car is needed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent holiday resort located near Alvor and Portimao.
Walk into Alvor takes around 15-20mins and is all downhill. A taxi back will cost €5 maximum and are readily available from the ranks in town.
Great facilities and pool area. Kids will be entertained all day, and the pool bar suits you food/drink needs.
