A	Araceli SERRANO on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decepcionada. La verdad es que he ido muchas veces a comer a Elvas y posiblemente esta haya sido la vez que menos satisfecha he salido.. Cierto es que era carnaval y estaban desbordados de faena y que, pese a ello, nos dijeron que si esperábamos 1h, comeríamos.. La especialidad de los portugueses es el bacalao en todas sus formas pero el plato que más me gustó (sin ser espectacular), fue el de las "lulas" (calamares). De las variedades que probé, la que más aceptable me pareció fue el bacalao dorao pero el bacalao a la marinera lo encontré seco y con una salsa bastante insulsa: eso sí, acompañado de unas patatas chip caseras muy buenas! Y si tuviera que destacar algo sería el cóctel molotov (postre): buenísimo! És como un souflé de flan que entra de maravilla! El local es enorme, (no apto para comidas románticas), el servicio muy eficiente y los precios en la media de la zona. Tiene párking propio. Como nota negativa, al revisar la cuenta, vimos que nos habían cobrado una botella de vino de más hecho que quiero atribuir a un error, no a la oportunidad que brinda una mesa de 8 personas que no paran de pedir.. Disappointed. The truth is that I have gone to Elvas many times to eat and this may have been the least satisfied time I have left. It is true that it was a carnival and they were overwhelmed with work and, despite this, they told us that if we waited 1 hour, we would eat. The specialty of the Portuguese is cod in all its forms but the dish that I liked the most (without being spectacular), was the "lulas" (squid). Of the varieties that I tried, the one that I found most acceptable was the dorao cod but I found the cod a la marinera dry and with a rather bland sauce: yes, accompanied by some very good homemade chip potatoes! And if I had to highlight something it would be the Molotov cocktail (dessert): terrific! It is like a souffle of flan that fits wonderfully! The place is huge, (not suitable for romantic meals), the service is very efficient and the prices are average in the area. It has its own parking. On a negative note, when reviewing the account, we saw that we had been charged for a bottle of wine more than I want to attribute to an error, not to the opportunity offered by a table of 8 people who do not stop ordering.
