Founded in Venice in 2014, Vino Vero is a wine bar with a venue in Lisbon and today offers one of the best selections of natural wines in the world. It is a meeting place for producers and drinkers.

The Vini Veri consortium has defined very well what is meant when we talk about natural wines, we report here what mentioned in their website.

Work processes undertaken in the vineyard:

Exclusion of herbicides and / or drying products;
Exclusion of chemical fertilisers;
Exclusion of genetically modified vines;
Introduction to new vineyards, of plants obtained from mass selection;
Cultivation of native vines;
The use of products for treatments in the vineyard against diseases of those permitted by the regulations in force in organic farming. In all cases all those that are penetrating or systemic are not permitted.

Processes undertaken in the wine cellar:

Exclusive use of indigenous yeasts on grapes and in the cellar;
Exclusion of the contribution of any product of nourishment and sustenance;
Conditioning of wine may be of vitamins, enzymes and bacteria;
Exclusion of any forced concentration and drying system;
Natural air drying of grapes, without any forced procedures;
Exclusion of any form of manipulation aimed at accelerating and / or slowing down the natural fermentation of grape must and wine;
Fermentation without temperature control;
Exclusion of any clearing and filtration processes which alter the biological and natural balance of wines;
The total of sulfur dioxide can never be higher than 80 mg / l for dry wines and 100 mg / l for sweet wines.

( without reservation ) We ordered the: -Aubergine -mackerel -cheese fondue -tuna -great vines Vibe: Amazing! You feel so welcomed and like home. Food: Italien / Portugaise fusain Vines: a nice collection of Portuguese / Italian / Spanish / French.. vines Overall I loved this place and planning already to go back! Depends on the day maybe do a reservation. The service is super friendly and lets you try their vine. Price: very fair for what you get! Thank you!

Comfy seats. Cute decor. Fabulously friendly & attentive staff. Shout out to Ludovica especially. Hundreds of bottles surround if you want to bring something home! We had the pate brioche, special poached egg/mushroom, and burrata/anchovy/spinach dishes with yummy bread. Mushrooms were the Stand out winner. Definitely hit this place if you like delicious unusual wines Have opinions; Will share

The staff is very friendly and helps with the choice of wine. Food is also great. Mostly small plates and some boards to share. I would definitely come back.

Let’s start with the good. There is a large wine selection with interesting labels from all over Europe. The staff is helpful and nice. Shout out to Chicha who made our experience. We had a really nice lentils dish that I recommended to anyone visiting. The main problem here is that there are so many tables and so little staff that it took us 45 minutes to get a beer from the tap and another 30 minutes to get our wine. And trying to get a servers attention to order anything else is seemingly impossible if you want to be polite. When we arrived (with reservation)we still had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. 4 out of 5 of the dishes we ordered were poor for many reasons that are unnecessary to detail here. The bottom line is that yes this place is a great vibe and has so many things going for it but it still lacks basic service to make the experience a good one. If you find yourself here enjoy and find an extra measure of patience.

Furthermore, they offer small complimentary snack that go really well with the wine. The food is absolutely amazing and perfect to share for 2 people. As stated before a lot of young, hip people come here and drink wine together. There is not much of a view and compared to other places in Lisbon it is a bit expensive, but definitely worth it for a nice wine experience.
