Vital Gardens, Lda. is a landscaping and gardening company, established in Carvoeiro in 2007. The founder, Jan Steenken, specializes in outdoor life- and landscape designs.
Jan is German but was born in the Algarve. After obtaining his education and qualifications in Germany, where he worked in a renowned landscape gardening company, he extended his knowledge of exotic plants and irrigation systems in Australia & California, before moving back to Portugal.

Die Beratung hat uns sehr gut gefallen, da wir uns zu Beginn nicht so sehr mit den klimatischen Verhältnissen auskannten in der Algarve, vertrauten wir auf die Erfahrung vom Fachmann. Die Pflanzen sind nun 9 Monate "jung" und wachsen sehr prächtig. Auch fühlen wir uns gut aufgehoben mit der Gartenpflege, die Natur um uns herum gedeiht fast wie von Zauberhand. Vital Gardens ist sehr zu empfehlen, insbesondere wegen der nachhaltigen Gartenpflege und einem guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.
We are very happy with the work of the Vital Gardens team. Our garden design was carried out on an area of 2000 square meters (including the house and pool). We liked the advice very much, because at the beginning we were not so familiar with the climatic conditions in the Algarve, we trusted the experience of a specialist. The plants are now "young" for 9 months and grow very well. We also feel that we are in good hands with garden maintenance, nature around us thrives almost as if by magic. Vital Gardens is highly recommended, especially because of the sustainable garden care and a good price / performance ratio.
