October 2017 stay. The staff are quite rude. Every time you ask for something they look at you as if you are bothering them. The pools are colder than the Atlantic ocean! We spent a lot of time in the sea, you cannot stay in the pool for a long period. My son ended up blue every time he went in! Very little staff.no snack bar as advertised, no cocktails.. basically had to beg them to make one.My mother had an accident in the sea and couldn't walk after hospital treatment.the hotel didn't even ask us if we needed anything and weren't interested when she was struggling to walk. The accomodation is nice and clean but the staff ruined the stay. They basically decided if they wanted to be nice to you on the day...some people I spoke to got a takeaway service - with the takeaway menu in the room. When I phoned they do not do a take away service! The on site shop is expensive as they usually are. The shuttle bus guy would shout at us if we had been to the beach and transfer any sand in the car. The cleaning staff were always really lovely but everyone else was absolutely useless. I wouldn't be take young children here.its a shame because this place does not appreciate your custom. If you don't ask for anything or have an accident or don't have children you'll probably have a good time!

Nicely situated apartments. The rooms are clean. What we were missing was an option to get pool towels. Also there is no fitness room, which would have been nice. Good value for the price!

Very comfy beds and over all great experience. The breakfast was the best cooked breakfast ive had in portugal. Covid ready supplied gloves and hand sanitizer on entry - ate outdoors by the pool

We had 4 people going and they were my mum, sister, nan and me. We went from Belfast International to Faro airport and got a taxi there. As soon as we got there I was delighted. The hotel was beautiful and the pool(s) were huge! The rooms were large and comfy, and the staff were delightful! When night fell we'd go to the bar every night and there was a large choice of drinks. I had a mocktail most nights and it was glorious. Would recommend for families since there is a public and private pool. I went last year so I dont know about the covid status but I'm sure they have gloves and sanitizer in every room.

On arrival the receptionist was not very polite to my partner. Food and service was below average. Booked in for dinner @21:00 would still be standing in a queue for 30mins. Not really kids friendly. Room was covered in ants at times. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

We had a downstairs room which, as other people mentioned here was indeed a bit loud. Can't judge how a upstairs room matters of course. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. There's also a evening diner possibility here as well as eating in the restaurant as take away. Pool facilities we're good. Appartement was good. Some minor hygienic issues but nothing to bother about. Bed however was not that good. Woke me up a few times a night. To be fair this might be portugal standard as we've stayed in different accommodations throughout and it was almost never good. Overall good experience. Would come back if the accommodation was in a different place but unfortunately Ferragudo was a bit too quiet for us to visit again.

We stayed here as a family at the end of October for 4 nights. The buildings and grounds are all excellent, everything is kept in very good condition and well maintained. The apartment was spacious and very modern and very well equipped, I couldn’t fault it. Despite it being on the ground floor we had no issue with noise. Room service came every day. We stayed in Flamingo block facing the town, I know you can pay extra for pool/sea view but we loved our view. We had easy access to the road for taxi pickups. We didn’t eat at the on-site restaurant but had nice coffee in the mornings. The on-site supermarket wasn’t open, I’m not sure if that was seasonal or because of CV. The only minor negative was the not so polite staff on check in. Overall a brilliant place that I’m sure I will visit again in the near future.
