★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place looks quite inconspicuous from the street but once you enter through the door, the place transforms into an intimate restaurant. The starters were good, Empanadas were the highlight. The steaks were very good quality and cooked well. The bread on the table was good and 10/10 for serving warm bread. The desserts were a mixed bag, Alfojares a bit so so with a twist on the traditional one, it's more of a chocolate cake but the meringue with egg yolk cream and strawberry sorbet was brilliant! All in all, a little gem in Lisbon that's a well kept secret amongst the locals !
The service was excellent and they went over and above to make it Covid safe and friendly, very innovatively! Brilliant job - thank you team at Volver de Carne :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely mouthwatering steak in a laidback yet classy setting. Quite pricey but it’s very
reflective of the quality and service received.
We all had a steak and were all well satisfied so I can recommend the red meat!! The chips were pretty good and the roasted veg is seared and a little chewy but great.
They also do great cocktails in the bar lounge are.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a great place if you are a meat lover. There is not a lot of variety, and often medium raw is more raw then anything else, but the taste is all there and it almost justifies the price tag. Almost. A few of the side dishes portions are rather small or uninspiring.

Went with friends on a casual dinner and since the beginning until the end it was a flavors explosion with impressive visuals.
My friends forgot that I don't eat meat the restaurant speciality... Yet, there was other options free meat and with great taste!
The service was fast and very detailed oriented.
PS: hard to forget the cheese starter !

Looking from the outside there's no way that you'll be ready for the treat you signed up for the first time.
The space decor is by itself worth a comment, a true masterpiece of good taste without going the easy boring minimalistic route.
The team is more than welcoming throughout the meal, and don't even get me started on the food.
I got a beef wellington and it was perfectly executed. Even the sides are an event by themselves. I went as far as getting a desert that's something completely outside my baseline.
The main problem of this restaurant is being too close to my home, so I'm not sure if I'll be able not to make it the default go to place. :P
