★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They do not have the option for 24 hours that I like, so I ended up signing up for the 48 hours. We covered almost everything in a day. When you sit on the bus at 9am, you will get off at the Belem stop Blue Line. But from there, we took Uber to drop us off at Belem pastries house, then from there went to the Jerome Monastery and the museum next to it ourself. We bought ourself a Lisboa Card that got covered. On our way back we took train back to the city then hop on for the Red Line. The only thing we didnt do is the old train funicular. I figure its the same like the ones in Hong Kong and San Francisco. I have not even ride the on in SF. Review says its too expensive.. so I skip. I was at Lisboa for 2.5 day. First day, we got jet lagged and slept through. We did visit the Castle by foot. The only day we spend time was when we combine Yellow bus and Lisboa Card. How would I do differently next time? Spend 7 days in Portugal, but 2 full day with Yellow bus & Lisboa Card, so you can enjoy visiting all the museums while use public transportation. Uber is inexpensive too. Hope this helps making your travel decision while in Portugal!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most boring tour of Lisbon imaginable. The bus is too large to fit down any small streets, so it sticks to large highways. Most of the audio guide is just music, often times you will be passing a huge and ornate monument or statue and there will be no explanation on the audio. I learned essentailly nothing on this tour, except for the fact I should never take another tour with Yellow Bus again. The 'highlight' was a shopping centre built in 1998, who comes to Lisbon to visit a shopping centre?? The audio guide is vague, often simply saying things like 'the beauty and elegance of (whatever) changed the area significantly'. Very VERY light on actual facts, dates, history, culture, anything you would usually consider necessary for a tour. Forget about it, youre better off just walking around and looking at things, or getting public transport, than getting this bus. Way overpriced at 20 a ticket, should have been 1 euro max considering the quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bus tour itself was quite good, but stops are far from the locations that the stops are called. Scheduling isn't as regular as the others. All in all good when you can get on, but the hop on hop off aspect was ruined for us by the stop being quite far from the landmark stated and ended up having to walk down to the start point for the entire tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bus never arrived.
I contacted customer service twice for information on when the purple line bus would be arriving at stop 8 in the 12th hour, was confirmed it would be there at 12.50. we waited at the stop for 50 mins with no bus arriving, even with customer service telling us again, it would be there "in a few minutes" halfway through our wait. Customer service closed after telling me this.
As there was only one more route for the day, if we took the 2pm bus we would not get back to the area our hotel was in. With this is a 48 hour ticket and we are only in town for two days, the entire purchase is rendered useless. Has completely wasted a day of exploring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Better choose another company if you really want to use Hop-on-hop-off. 1-2 hour waiting times, the timetable is not adhered to. It was a massive waste of time and also very depressing to see one bus after another from other providers (CitySightseeing and Gray Line) stop while waiting.
On the tram tour were 3 trams waiting at the starting station for over half an hour and they just didn't start. I asked what’s the problem and I’ve just been told that there were delays. When it finally started, the tram was full and the next one - even though it was already there - didn't start until 45 minutes later.
The whole thing is simply an imposition and a rip-off of paying customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place to take the Yellow Bus is at the starting point in Place de Figueria. That way you are guaranteed a good seat. If you board at other stops, your group may be separated across different seating areas.
It is much cheaper to buy a combination ticket, if you can. In our case we chose a Modern Lisbon Yellow Bus tour and the Belém tour together for 25 euro. The Belém tour is far more interesting and the commentary (that works intermittently) is more informative. I would recommend the Belém tour.
There is less to see on the Modern Lisbon tour and the commentary is minimal, but some of the modern architecture is interesting.
There is also the option of buying a special Tram 28 tour with commentary, for around 20 euro. It is much cheaper to buy your own ticket (for about 4 euro) on the regular standard Tram 28 that does not offer a commentary, but you will still see everything.
During the off-peak season, the yellow buses operate at two hour intervals, so if you hop off the bus at any point, it may be another two hours before they come back to collect you. The service may be more frequent in the peak summer months. But find out first, before disembarking mid-way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used it to do the boat tour around Lisbon a well as the tram. Ann at the ticket booth was extremely helpful and friendly. It's worth the money and you get to know Lisbon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got the family ticket for €70 for 48 hours. Then we took a tram ride followed by a bus one later down the day. After reading the reviews we prepared for the worst. But it was great, we loved the tram tour, with so many places to see. Audio worked as expected. Tram was just what you want, not too long and not too short. We did not attempt the hop on/off before seeing it all. The bus was also all right, audio worked and it covered further parts of the city. We wanted to do the boat one as well but it was on the every other day which did not suit. Finally the ticked covers funiculars which we tried as well, but that is just icing on the cake.
