Best food of our trip! If you don't speak Portuguese, just ask the owner for his recommendation. He will even pick your wine, from the hundreds of bottles he has hidden around the restaurant. A local suggested this place to us and we will for sure be back. We had a very nice wine, 2 mains, a starter salad, and dessert for 70 euro. Would have been 35 euro without the wine. well worth it. Zero complaints about this place.

Not particularly cheap but the portions are huge and the quality of the food amazing. We had 1 moreia, 1 alhada de Raia, 1 pezinhos de coentrada for 4 hungry guys. Plenty of food. Went for water but the wine selection is really good. Some bread and 3 coffees. Bill came to 57 euros. Service unintrusive. Excellent meal.

I’m Portuguese living in Portugal and I was on vacation in Lagos. I had made a reservation for 7:30 PM in August, for a party of four (wife and two kids) for which I showed up on time. Upon arrival I noticed that the owner and the other employees were not wearing a mask (which is mandatory during the COVID-19 pandemic) and the tables were not as spaced as I would like them to be. I took the decision to tell the owner that I was not comfortable with this scenario and I would not, regretfully, be dining in his restaurant. I presented my apologies and I was immediately greeted with a series of insults from the owner, with him even coming outside to insult us, with both my kids hearing the whole thing. I’m glad I ended up not eating there. I hope this review will keep people away from this place because no amount of good food compensates for terrible service and rude behavior.

Food was good and authentic. The owner and server was rude, mistreated his staff in front of the clients, talked about how "certain clients should stay at home instead of coming to the restaurant", pretty much ignored us as we paid and threw our credit cards over the table after we paid. For a place where the prices are WAY above average, the great food doesn't make for a positive experience. It could've been just a bad day, but paying customers aren't certainly doing this place any favours. Will not be coming back.

Amazing place, amazing food. Fresh fish - tuna was an absolute highlight and so was Pedro, the owner that founded this place with his wife (the genius behind the kitchen). Wine selection was also great! 5 out of 5 with no doubts ?

Very nice Portuguese restaurant. There was no map in English but the boss told us what was there. With good wine and good food we had a nice evening and laughed a lot. The fish was 100% fresh and tasty

I give this spot five stars because the food and wine are excellent. They told us what the best dishes were and we had them as we could not read the menu. This spot is know for their seared tuna, think taktaki but with olive oil and lemon juice, simple stuff but the freshness of the fish is what shines here. The monkfish rice is sensational, extra soupy and rammed with flavour. We had razor clams as the vongole were all gone, my sone said they were better than the razor clams we had at Murgaritz. Again, done simply in wine, garlic and lemon. If you like wine make sure you talk to the dude, he has an amazing selection. The scoring system on google maps is,it should be out of 20, nothing is perfect but I found my scores up if I think it is worth more than 4, this place is but it is a simple cozy room with only a couple of staff so don't expect any glamour, just brilliant food and wine

Excellent place for traditional Portuguese food. You feel in a house of a local with the handwritten menu, the Portuguese cooks and staff. My octopus was the most tender I ever had, the seafood & beans casserole was very good too. Place was jammed so make a reservation before coming.
