★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, special space (converted convent) - seems super-tucked away in a working class hood - and then boom - you enter this sacred space and you're a world away. I totally LOVE the hidden nature of this place and I'd give this 4.6+ stars if I could. Given the price and my expectations though, I'll try to be clear about everything. My main was INCREDIBLE - truly ethereal - skate and braised cabbage with two beautiful, unbelievably flavorful tomato "gels" (I'd call them confits) - one red, one yellow. I've NEVER had tomato anything this flavorful and the skate was perfect. To be clear, this entire dish veers away from what I'd normally order, but it was incredible. If the entire meal had been this good, no question of 5 stars. My entree (scallops w peas, pennyroyal, and, surprising, cuttlefish ink) was good, but, unfortunately, nothing that I'll remember like the main. As I don't generally eat the very cute and intelligent cuttlefish, I was disappointed that they did not disclose this on the menu. My desert came w a very small glass ball mistakenly in it, and no one said or did anything - also a detail I found disappointing. Lastly, the menu on the web did not match the menu they served - I showed up expecting one thing, but ended up having to choose others. The wine and port pairings, however, were lovely. Oh, they served the mushroom butter for the bread inside an animal bone - another small detail that I wish they'd have adjusted after learning that I don't eat red meat. I can imagine how off-putting that would be to pure vegetarians. (Butter was, nonetheless delish!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most romantic and atmospheric site. Sitting in the cloister watching the swifts with a glass of wine before an excellent meal is as good as it gets. (Inside looked good too). The food was original, and beautifully cooked as well as beautifully presented. All marvellous. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They automatically serve 8 appetisers depending on the season, the black pork sercreto and the clams were winners
Then some one comes to take your order for main course.
This could all be explained from the get go, it's not.
The foods delicious. But the wine guy here rocks. Order safe if you want but I'd let him order for me every day.
Would love to return in the warmer months when the terrace is open. But restos vaulted ceiling is beautiful none the less.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really wanted to give this a better rating as it came recommended. You will be brought starters as soon as you sit for €15 per person. The Somme is great. The lamb shoulder is average with a lot of salt, but the venison with the truffle is amazing. We had issues with our dessert as we were served what we didn’t order and then ordered what we wanted and in the meanwhile we never received the coffee that we ordered until we reminded them. Overall the restauarent does not deserve the price that is charged, but some of the food is very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceptional staff made us feel very welcome. Great suggestions - white port to start, the beef special. A special place for a date or catch up with friends as the surroundings are unique.
