To go with time, the service is a bit slow, but the food is cool. Good value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fomos experimentar, durante um almoço de colegas de trabalho, este restaurante típico de Coimbra. O comer, espetada à Madeira e caldo verde, estavam muito bons.
O atendimento é simpático mas demorado, pelo menos para a hora de almoço.
Não têm menu diário pelo que o preço para hora de almoço é um pouco alto.
Recomendo experimentar.
We went to try, during a lunch of co-workers, this typical restaurant of Coimbra. The eating, kebab with Madeira and green broth, were very good.
The service is friendly but slow, at least for lunch time.
They have no daily menu so the price for lunch time is a little high.
I recommend trying it out.

In preda alla disperazione
Una bettola attira la nostra attenzione,
È il ristorante di Estrela (o la sua casa, questo non ci è chiaro)
Ma accecati dalla fame, inizialmente, appare come un faro
Il folklore è evidente,
Il menù fatiscente,
Il personale bizzarro,
Forse la nostra scelta è stata un azzardo.
Non ci lasciamo scoraggiare
E proviamo ad ordinare
Ma la scelta è complicata
Il portoghese è l'unica lingua scritta e parlata.
Ordiniamo espetada Madeira, churras quinho, lulas grelhadas, chanfana, più tinto, agua, pudim flam e mousse de chocolate,
Conditi da una lunga attesa e tante risate.
Nemmeno l'antipasto va tralasciato,
Pane, burro e formaggio c'è stato portato.
Con immenso stupore le pietanze sono abbondanti e prelibate,
E da insalate e patate sono tutte accompagnate.
Solo il dolce non era eccezionale
Da lei ci aspettavamo una cosa tradizionale.
Alla fine 57€ in 4 abbiam pagato
Scritto a mano su un foglietto ci è stato consegnato.
Certo al servizio e alla precisione non bisogna badare,
Ma la cena si è rivelata un'esperienza da consigliare.

We order espetada Madeira, churras quinho, lulas grelhadas, chanfana, tinged, agua, pudim flam and mousse de chocolate,
Seasoned by a long wait and lots of laughter.
Not even the appetizer left blank,
Bread, butter and cheese were brought there.
With amazement the food is plentiful and delicious,
And by salads and potatoes they are all washed.
Only the dessert was not that great
From her, we were expecting a traditional thing.
At the end 57 € in 4 we paid
Handwritten on a piece of paper we were given.
Of course the service and accuracy do not care,
But dinner turned out to be an experience to be recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ it was with quite an experience. friendly service, excellent food (except the desert which was average but correct) and we had to exercise our Portuguese, which for us was an opportunity but for others might be a problem. the bill was more expensive than expected in a typical Portuguese restaurant
