Faro Airport to Vilamoura Taxi
Vilamoura is a resort in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. It’s known for its large marina, golf courses and casino, and for sandy Vilamoura Beach. Cerro da Vila archaeological museum has a ruined Roman villa with bathhouses and mosaics. Red cliffs line Falésia Beach, which stretches west to the fishing village Olhos de Água. Vilamoura merges with the town of Quarteira, to the southeast, with more beaches.
At the heart of Vilamoura is the marina which has the capacity to berth over 1,000 vessels. The marina is surrounded by large hotels and luxury holiday homes as well as a large casino and numerous restaurants and vibrant bars. At the far corner of the marina, it is possible to charter boats for big game fishing. There are also facilities for jet skiing and parascending. Close by there are also a number of sports clubs, a shooting range and many night clubs. Tourism in Vilamoura is extensive and well-developed, with many different resorts with ratings from three to five stars. This is a substantially higher average than the surrounding areas, which have ratings varying from two to four. As a consequence of being mostly privately owned, the town is very opulently designed. The town and marina have an extensive variety of activities which are usually on Tuesdays, Thursdays and at weekends, including touring the local caves along the coastline (which are nearer to Albufeira than they are to Vilamoura). This cave tour is usually done on tour boats. The area also has two companies which operate trains-on-wheels for travel between resorts.
For the avid historians there is a preserved Roman site and museum providing an insight to the area's past. Originally a Roman fishing town, the ruins include baths in which the mariners used to bathe.
The marina will be extended with Cidade Lacustre, the new project that Lusort will be developing in Vilamoura in the next few years.

Staan er mooi op tijd en doen het erg netjes met de regels van de Covid, wij zouden zeker weer voor dit bedrijf kiezen als we weer mogen komen en zouden hen ook echt aanraden aan familie en vrienden die ook naar Portugal aan de albufeira gaan verblijven.
 What a great company, a quick response from Sofia. The drivers also speak good english and treat you with great respect. Are there on time and do it very nicely with the rules of the Covid, we would certainly choose this company again if we can come again and would really recommend them to family and friends who are also going to Portugal to stay at Albufeira.

I booked my golf holiday break in Portugal and booked a last minute private transfer with Algarve Family Transfers as they were one of the few who accepted to receive payment upon arrival.
Everything was better than expected, they went directly to my accommodation hotel in Albufeira, and the airport shuttle service was done with a executive luxury taxi for my surprise!
I strongly recommend this low cost taxi transfer company ! Will definitely use again!

Very professional and absolutely punctual (for each transfer the drivers waited for us a couple of minutes ahead of scheduled time). Safe drive (matters even more when traveling with kids) and the 5th star because of the high flexibility (we booked transfers on the same day with quite short notice) as well as the kindness of the drivers and the coordinating collaborator Ms. Rodriguez. The price is very competitive, with most of similar services charing 20-50% more. Would strongly recommend and we will for sure use their services again for our next trip in Algarve!
