★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here for the first week on the green traffic light.
4 star hotel with 2 star food and 1 star entertainment
If you fancy doing nothing for a week or two this is the place. The hotel is in the middle of a residential area with a few Bars and restaurants near by, beaches are a good walk away with the old town a good 30 min walk away.
It's a shame really as it's absolutely beautiful here with soft golden sandy beaches and the old town has lots of small family bars and cafe's with great food and friendly service that "Be Live" just can't match.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic hotel - have stayed here on four separate occasions and plan on staying again in the future. Great facilities, great food, great rooms, and entertainment has got better year on year. Short walk to a lovely sandy beach and an easy commute to water parks, Zoo Marine, and Albufeira harbour for boat trips etc. Cannot recommend enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is described on the TUI website as a 4 star hotel. It certainly is not 4 star. At best I would describe it as high end 3 star. There is without a doubt double standards in this hotel. French guests are catered for and looked after so much better than English guests. I spent 11 nights here, and even though the food was plentiful, it was boring. Same food every day. That was until the French started arriving, the food suddenly became so much nicer and a better variety.
Evening entertainment is not exactly brilliant. There is a small gift shop in the hotel foyer, but its expensive. You would be better using the large supermarket only a 10 minute leisurely walk away.
Cleanliness of the rooms is not great, attention to detail is needed more.
It is 2021, and this hotel doesnt even provide a kettle for tea/coffee making in the room. Yes there is a facility to get a drink 24 hours a day from either a snack restaurant or main restaurant, but people do like a cup of tea or coffee in the morning before breakfast.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you were in a rush to book up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed for a week in a self catering apartment with my 15 year old daughter.
Very glad we went self catering as the one day we paid to eat in the hotel restaurant was NOT very nice! Basic poor quality food, disgusting coffee (and im happy with basic instant coffee - but this was something seriously sub-standard), sausages which were pink in the middle and not even any fresh orange juice to drink on the day we went. Also the hotel is in the basement with no outdoor space or views and has the atmosphere of a busy office canteen. However all the restaurant staff were very friendly and hardworking.
Although it is a quiet area, we still found some lovely places to eat in the area away from the hotel, some of which were the highlight of our holiday.
Our apartment block was located several minutes walk away from the main hotel, on a street around the corner. We were on the 4th floor which was lovely for a side sea view - but with no lift, it made it hard to get up an down with suitcases. It was also quite scary wondering through the eerily quiet and unfamiliar streets at midnight, on arrival, trying to follow the map to find our accommodation, just me and my daughter. The hotel should assign a porter or other staff member to support customers staying away from the main complex to get to their apartment - especially late at night.
The apartment was immaculately clean, fresh and spacious. The maids came every other day and worked very hard. Although they didnt clean the balcony area which regularly had bird poop on the ledge.
Noise on a night was problematic as their seems to be a large number of nesting seagulls in the roof terraces - they made a crazy racket all night every night.
The attitude of some of the reception staff was really poor. One female member of staff in particular was very unpleasant. I asked to speak with the manager on two separate occasions to discuss an issue I had and on both occasions the manager was unavailable. No offer to take my details so that the Manager could follow up with me later on - just totally disinterested.
Overall, I think if your booked to go self catering - this hotel is fine - but avoid the all inclusive on and hope you dont have cause to interact with reception staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're used to an excellent 4-star experience, this hotel is not it. The location, which is very close to the most beautiful Algarve beaches, is perfect. However, a lot of the hotel and its offering can be improved. Starting with meal times. It's a torturous wait for parents with young kids having to wait for breakfast (7.30am), lunch (12.30pm) and dinner (7pm) and as a family resort this should be amended, we waited with loads of other families everyday for the restaurant doors to open, all were in agreement that meal times were too late. The "24hr" snack bar is absolutely not a good alternative when you've got hungry, tired children and the offering is the same basic array everyday. You have to pay CASH deposits for everything: €10 per swimming towel, €10 for TV remote, €10 for bedroom safe (plus €2.50 daily use cost) and yes even if you pay for all-inclusive. Layout of the hotel is terrible if you're staying in Tower 1. Our air-conditioning stopped working and nobody could fix it until we left, we had to sleep with our balcony door open with the humidity. The swimming pools are freezing, the sea was even warmer to swim in. The food was good, the hotel is clean and neat, some areas are looking a little tired. There are bedrooms on reception and restaurant levels, which is shocking and where no doubt all noise complaints would come from. Overall, the hotel needs an upgrade, especially the bottom leisure area OR just drop a star.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice, friendly, clean all-inclusive hotel with good choice of food. Somewhat lacking in the evenings; the bars that are open inside the hotel are all indoors, noisy and not very convivial for evening relaxing. A sheltered outdoor bar or seating area would have improved this greatly. The area surrounding the hotel in general isn't particularly well-served for restaurants entertainments and activities, making it quite limiting in the evening. The complex is fairly spread out, the "children's" pool with water slides and play area is a few minutes walk though a tunnel from the other pools, making it difficult to have one area for the whole family to enjoy. Closeness to the beach was a big plus, the far end of the hotel area is only a few minutes walk to the beach. We were happy with our week at the hotel, but felt it wouldn't have supported a two-week holiday.
