Lovely little bars/cafes on the beach front and a lovely restaurant offering stunning views as you dine.
Beach is lifegaurded, water was stunning with plenty of little fish swimming around close to the shore. A must visit if you are close.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe 10-15 minutes by train from Cais de Sodre train station. It's pretty much a straight left turn once you exit the station, down a block and through a tunnel under the main road. The total round trip is 4.50 Euros.
The water was FREEZING but the sunshine (at maybe 70 degrees Fahrenheit) was enough to lure me in for a quick dip several times. I saw huge (maybe 12") fish whilst swimming.
This is a beach mostly for an older Portuguese population, though I observed maybe 5-10 people under my age (40s).
No trash. Quite rocky, but with a decent area of sand. Nice, and quiet.
