★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came to Blockhouse after a long day of sightseeing, tired and hungry. There were 4 of us in total, and even though it was very busy, we were quickly seated. The menu was extensive, with plenty to choose from, but we all knew well in advance that we wanted steak!
The service was great, the waiter was polite, and he offered us the English menu straight away with no issues. The menus come in all kinds of languages, which is great for tourists! Drinks were replenished fairly quickly, and the food came out at a good pace.
We were served a salad as a starter which was included in the price of the main course, and it was simple and fresh- a perfect way to start our meal. The steak (I can't remember the exact cut I had- Ribeye I think) was served alongside a baked potato with a sour cream dressing which was divine, and some garlic bread. This is by far the bet garlic bread ever- if you come here, be sure to order more!
The steak itself was perfect. Cooked exactly to our taste, succulent and well rested. There was absolutely no gristle on the steak and I didn't leave a single bite. We also had some fries for the table incase I didn't like the potato- no issues there- and they were really tasty too.
There wasn't a massive selection of beers from what I remember- just really one brand of each type, and it was the type of beer that was listed on the menu, rather than the brand. Turned out to be absolutely fine and the beers went down nicely.
If you are looking for a treat, I would definitely recommend this place. It may be worth making a reservation though as they are always busy when we walked past- always a good sign! They are a bit pricier than other places in Lisbon, but the quality of food really is worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoy coming here, for a nice thick juicy cooked to perfection steak, and a baked potato covered in sour cream. It's so decadent, so yummy. And the side salad, very fresh and drenched in American sauce is simply delicious.
But it's not only because of the food. I enjoy very much the cozy and relaxed atmosphere of this place, the staff is friendly and the service is very fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charming waitress, delicious food, nice ambient, fast service and a nice view of the zone if you seat by the window.
It is not announced openly, but you can buy their pepper blend to bring back home. I did.
A little detail on the negative side: the music is a bit louder than it should (but not to the point where it would become annoying, luckily).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Block head more like don't even go here head. Never in my life have I made a steak but I can tell you mine is better. Came all shades of blue and purple when I asked for medium rare. Why is peppercorn sauce €2.50. Server Miguel was nice though. Seems like it's all frozen

We were checked for COVID vaccine pass before entering.
This place is underrated.
Best options for everyone in the family. Coupled with red sangria - perfect quick meal.
Highly recommended. My second visit in a week.
