Well, I guess this is the perfect place for both: the view is simply amazing and the interior of the location, even though it's newly renovated, keeps it's authenticity and charm intact. I strongly recommend this experience, which should be embraced with open arms and hearts!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We found this place during a walk tour going from downtown up to the top of the University. It was such an amazing experience along with our kids involved (mostly due to the stunning views over Mondego river and the fabulous "Queijada de Tentugal" - if you like sugar and the simple things in life, try it;).
Thank you Pedro for sharing those nice stories about the city and students.
We will come back maybe to spend a night at the "princess Castle" like our small daughter told us about the main room of the house:)!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place. Outside it looks like a regular building but inside it is a palace under restoration (mostly ready) which has many functions at the same time. Old vinyl music player with the best traditional Portuguese music or top classics from the 80s, an amazing view from the terrace and a glass of champagne in hand - just a perfect evening. The owner who is a tour guide at the same time tells interesting stories about the history of the palace and gives tips to the best local places to visit. It was a great experience!
