We had lunch here today of fried sheep's cheese and oxtail. While the fried sheeps cheese was interesting, the oxtail was devine. Like my grandmother used to make it: Slow cooking with rhe meat falling off the bone. Service was good and there are a number of other items on menue which begs for a future visit.

Felt very much like a tourist trap. No drinks menu or prices, starters already on the table that are NOT complementary so if you touch them, you pay. The food was OK, but I'm sure you can find better. Waste of a restaurant evening.

So yummy! The ox tail stew and cod were amazing! The bread and olive oil tasting board was fantastic! Nice wine!! Great local service in an old historic restaurant. Shared between three as big meals

A great Alentejano restaurant in the middle of Évora. We had a great dinner there with some hit and misses, first there were a couple of plates missing from the menu (the biggest letdown was not having the “empada de caça”) but the one I choose (ensopado de cauda de boi) was soooo good, second we were on the side room with a large group which affected the experience, third the desert was just ok. Another positive point to the wine list and also the prices. The employees were nice but since the restaurant was full it was always a little bit rushed. Overall it’s a good restaurant to go and eat and experience the local cuisine.

Nice place for a good topical meal in Alentejo. Great pepper veal (red and soft, as in the best restaurants) and fried pork with lovely vegetables pastry. Red wine (Vinho Tinto) from Alentejo is the good way to truly enjoy this lunch. Recommended!

This is a great restaurant with great food and very nice service. The waiter was super knowledgeable about wines and recommended us a wonderful white wine. If you are in Evora, please make sure to visit this restaurant.
