Waited quite a while for this shop to be opened It was written at 8am on Google but owner said it is 930am The Portuguese tarts were great Hamburger ok Cinnamon raisin bun was a little sweet But a nice place to have some breakfast

Love this bakery. Old style bread and tea, coffee. You can feel like very old city. I had espresso with orange bread which looks like poundcake. So good. Price was reasonable and tasty was good. You can take rest with these delicious breads.

Just a simply pastry shop and cafe. The pastry are so tasty and you can smell it from the street. You won‘t miss it. It is because they are continously making the pastries so they are always fresh. You must try the belinhas , they are so good. There are always lineup, but there are tables in the cafe for everyone. Highly recommend.

Fantastic little Bakery. Watch the expert ladies knead exquisitely risen dough, then feast on rolls right out of the brick oven, made perfect with tasty ham and cheese. Coffee, Tea, fresh squeezed lemonade... Heaven! The lovely young lady even gave us a free lift over to Caldais! Super nice!! ❤️

Some of the best, freshest pastries and breads I’ve had in Portugal! This is such a lovely bakery with very friendly bakers and a great selection of both sweet and savory selections. I actually came back twice in one day because it was so good! I got the chorizo bread (amazing), pasteis da Nata, coconut muffin, pumpkin and fig pastry, sweet potato and raisin pastry, and almond and honey pastry. So good!

Mood Lodging @ Capinha d'Óbidos ?? We love living in Óbidos and every day, we walk around the village and as part of the itinerary we always pass by Capinha d'Óbidos. And why you ask? As Portuguese citizens there is nothing better than buying local bread or traditional confectionery made in a wood oven ? Capinha d'Óbidos has been open for about 8 years, but the recipe that gave the house its name is at least 135 years old, Anabela Capinha inherited the recipe from her great-grandmother, baptizing it with her family name, a recipe shared between generations. The Capinha's were given and shared among friends and relatives on feast days, and thus Capinha was born, which today is as genuine as on the first day: kneaded by hand and cooked in a wood-fired oven. In addition to the famous Capinha, there are other delicacies of the house, from the simple bun to the always-desired bread with chorizo ​​and also the corn bread, in addition to a wide range of traditional cookies, the sweet potato or honey and walnut (our favorites), everything is made "in loco" and often you have the privilege of seeing the entire process and if you arrive at the right time, you can still taste it fresh out of the oven. It is undoubtedly a must-stop for anyone visiting Óbidos. We always recommend our guests to visit and it is without a doubt always a very rich experience, it is not every day that you have the chance to see someone hands-on and to be able to delight in homemade and so traditional products, something you rarely see these days.
