Highly recommended! The Casa da Praia Guest House is a very nice place to stay for some nights. It's a short way along the beach to Porto, only 13 km. Lovely landscape and amazing views over the atlantic ocean!

We stayed here during our St.James way and we were really disappointed of what we got for 80,- expensive Euro. A blank room, no hangers. The breakfast was good but the kitchen way too small and crowded. 80,- Euro are hotel room prices and this guest house is not anywhere near the expected ambiance.

Check in was quick but also a bit hectic. There was no explanation whether you can use the garden or living room. You'll get 3 keys (gate, entrance door and room key). The private room i had was rather small and was equipped with 3 separate beds. The beds were a bit too short and not very comfortable. The sheets and pillows didn't smell clean. There was no place to hang your towel and also just 2 hangers in the wardrobe. You'll share one bathroom with all the other rooms and you'll hear everytime someone walks to the bathroom or sounds from other rooms. The place looks quite modern. I got a voucher for breakfast in the nearby bakery which i didn't use after those bad reviews on Google. There's a simple portuguese restaurant and a small supermarket nearby. I found it to be completely overpriced but there was no other option in Labruge as the Albergue is still closed.

Honestly I think this place is great value for money. It’s a new and modern build, clean, nice linens, if you have a shared bathroom, the bathroom is huge and beautiful. Checkin takes only seconds, the beach is at the bottom of the street and behind the house is a very beautiful forest that is full of foot trails. The included breakfast at the café is simple, coffee and pastry, but sufficient.

Casa de praia Guesthouse is one of the best if not the best place that I've ever stayed at. It is just absolutely fabulous I don't even know how where to start the food was fantastic the staff was fantastic the atmosphere there was a cool beautiful gardens. The whole start to finish was just a 10 out of 10. We walked into the door tired from the Camino and they welcomed Us in and check the sin got us situated and we stayed in this beautiful old part of the building that was built in 1740 there was a balcony overlooking the vineyard and the corn fields. There was a wedding going on at the time and the owner make sure that we were comfortable and checked in. While checking in we had a touching moment because there was another couple waiting that were older couple who are just dumb the walk and they were hot and tired with nobody asking somebody took came out two glasses of water and handed it to him it was just a touching moment. We had dinner there and that was fantastic the wine was just fantastic. We went out to the pool and enjoy the pool after a long day. The only complaint that I could have is the wedding went a little longer than anticipated and they were out hootin and hollerin until 11 midnight but besides that everything was perfect. We had to get an early start so we said we couldn't make the breakfast and they packaged up a breakfast for us so it was ready when we depart it it's just an amazing place with service that I have not seen in many years thank you very much and I will definitely come back here.

i found this place to be seriously overpriced. when i arrived from walking the caminho, approx 40 mins later than i had expected because of rain and wind the owner let me in, certainly not in a friendly or welcoming manner. in fact i felt like an inconvenience rather than a paying guest. the TV controls did not work, were missing a part, owner asked me where it was when i told him about it. i was sleeping in a bed and the wind blew the window open, it could not shut firmly despite repeated attempts. this was temporarily resolved later. i moved bed to avoid the wind and it was basically a camp bed, and so uncomfortable i woke up during the night with a pain in my back so had to move back to the other bed. the bathroom had used and soiled toilet paper filled almost to the top without even a lid/covering. the A/C heating controls were not accessible in the room. I had no access to water and none was provided, i asked for a glass of water and was brought one by another guest who also shut the window. from all of the places i have stayed along the caminho since Lisbon i’m sorry to say this was the worst.
