★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely room, 10 min walk from Cais do Sodres, in a former boatbuilding area, behind the market. The area is a mix of rundown buildings and trendy restraunts , bars and cafes, all off the main tourist track. The room was on the 4th floor, no elivator, but it was an easy climb to a beautiful, cozy room, with French doors with a view of the harbor and bridge. The bed was the biggest I've ever seen in Portugal and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful and even came in early to make us breakfast. Excellent service, location and room. Would definitely book again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at your Casa do Mercado. We felt like home immediately after you showed us our room. We were looking forward to coming „home“ every evening and are more than thankful for such an experience in a foreign city!
Unlike some of the reviews we didn’t have any issues with the sounds of the bars in the street. We slept absolutely awesome :) We will be back and are really looking forward to it!
