Amazing food, very nice place. Very cosy. Very nice people.

Nice ambiance. The menu has Portuguese and Spanish selections. Tasty food and dessert. We ordered many dishes. Great tapas. Juicy burgers. Delicious cheese cake. The service is good.

Although the food is rely good and the staff being so kind, there are other very negative points in this restaurant. The biggest problem is that smoking is allowed, it's really annoying eating with people smoking next to you. Also the room is small and little space between the tables which makes it really loud and almost impossible to have a normal conversation. Will not return mainly due to smoking, simple spoils the good food served

We visited Casa Galega during our recent Christmas season trip to Portugal.Now installed in fully renovated premises, a stunning refurbishment of an old building with architectonic taste and criteria. In the guests dining area, the imposing character of the old building with the structural walls exposed revealing the old and original materials used during the 19th and early 20th centuries, with the 'tabique' masonry walls with wooden bars cage for seismic stability in evidence. The ID and decor were with great taste and also reveal the heavy investment made in the restaurant and how confident Fernando and family are that the capital spending in their food and amazing cuisine will pay off. The food was at the very high level their clientele is used to be. We went to 'arroz de lavagante' lobster rice for gentlemen, and the ladies choose the new entry to the menu the 'bitoque de lagosta' kind of lobster burger, all at great level and tasteful choices, although the menu has much more to satisfy all kinds of cravings. Amazing deserts to top it all, with a number of traditional and modern portuguese pastries and sweets to choose from. The wine bar is furnished with relevant choices for all occasions, less and more expensive as you like and may afford. The bill was not a surprise, since we are all used for the heavy stick to come in the end, when everyone is already in half way to the heavens and clouds, fully treated for the pleasures of mouths, stomachs and brains. For when the all wished, aimed and desired star in the sky of Casa Galega? That no one knows, since it still is in the mysteries of the tyres&rubber gentlemen of the book...!!!
