★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hemos venido a Casa Viana ya varias veces y cada vez nos agrada más. La casa está situada en primera línea de ría, en el punto donde las barcas la cruzan para alcanzar la flecha. Hay que atravesar una franja de dunas para llegar a la playa que da a mar abierto. Una playa larguísima de arena fina y limpia dónde se puede disfrutar de zonas solitarias si así se desea. Hacia el este, Cacela Velha, una pequeña joya fortificada, y hacia el este Tavira, y muchos kilómetros de por medio. El desayuno en casa Viana es muy bueno y Livia lo cuida como seña de identidad de la casa. Si el tiempo es bueno, desayunar en la terraza contemplando las barcas fondeadas en la ría, o que ya la cruzan con gente que va a la playa, es uno de los disfrutes que no se deben dejar pasar. Y, en los alrededores de Cabañas de Tavira hay muchos lugares para disfrutar con todos los sentidos y el del gusto suele ser uno de los más beneficiados. No hay que dejar de probar el Arroz con navajas en Zeca da Bica, en Tavira, la sopa de mar en El Ideal en Cabanas, el pulpo asado en La tasquinha-casa del pulpo, en Santa Luzia, la cataplana de tamboril, y muchos otros platos. Y al final del día, antes de acostarse, hay que disfrutar del paseo que recorre la orilla de la ría, de los olores en la bajanar, los reflejos de las barcas en el agua en las noches de luna llena y de la paz de este bello pueblo del Algarve.
 We have come to Casa Viana several times already and each time we like it more. The house is located on the first line of the estuary, at the point where the boats cross it to reach the arrow. You have to cross a strip of dunes to reach the beach that overlooks the open sea. A very long beach of fine and clean sand where you can enjoy solitary areas if you wish. To the east, Cacela Velha, a small fortified jewel, and to the east Tavira, and many kilometers in between. Breakfast at Casa Viana is very good and Livia takes care of it as a hallmark of the house. If the weather is good, having breakfast on the terrace watching the boats anchored in the estuary, or already crossing it with people going to the beach, is one of the joys that should not be missed. And, in the surroundings of Cabañas de Tavira there are many places to enjoy with all the senses and that of taste is usually one of the most benefited. You should not miss trying the Arroz con navajas at Zeca da Bica, in Tavira, the sea soup at El Ideal in Cabanas, the roasted octopus at La tasquinha-casa del pulpo, in Santa Luzia, the tambourine cataplana, and many other dishes. And at the end of the day, before going to bed, you have to enjoy the walk that runs along the shore of the estuary, the smells in the river, the reflections of the boats in the water on full moon nights and the peace of this beautiful Algarve town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Immaculately clean, stunning location with unobstructed views across the lagoon towards the sea, the ferries leave from the beach 10m in front of the guesthouse. Very helpful staff, feels safe and secure. You get your own keys that access your room and the front door. Great continental breakfast featuring the best local produce including fruits, cheeses, meats, freshly baked bread every morning, delicious filter coffee. Eat your breakfast on the roof terrace for the best view on the town. Roof terrace is shared and has the sun all day, great if the wind picks up in the beach as it is sheltered here. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms, no double bed in our room, just twins pushed together, mattresses are firm. Very clean room with high quality modern solid wood furniture, great shower gets hot quickly with large enclosure. Nearest restaurant is 10m away, all other restaurants can be accessed within 10min walk. Spar convenience store only 30m away. Guest house has it own locked car park. Highly recommend this place, couldn't better the location, service was fantastic, will definitely be visiting again.
