★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is beautiful; ocean view and waves. The hotel itself is very authentic, but quite neglected. Having a dinner is a bit of a problem, as one should go to the nearest village. However, if you can survive driving 6 km, you will be awarded with an excellent seafood restaurant, Adraga.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big rooms, not as good looking as the photos make it look. Pool was cold, but it was really hot so a quick dive refreshed. It's close to a road, but also close to the ocean. Breakfast was good! Would recommend to eat at the restaurant called something like piscine..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place! Unfortunately its worse than it was three years ago. Worse breakfast, no eggs, cold coffee from thermos. The door to the balcony was no way to close, just to lock with key. Case of that it is quiet difficult to sleep well as far as all night you here the ocean...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible experience with the Family room. Very stinky, we couldn't sleep because of smell. The host Isabella is very rude and grumpy person. Breakfast hours are from 9 am to 11 am. That is very late for travelers. We came at 9 am sharp, it was almost nothing ready to eat! After 10 min it was something on the table. Not worth the money!!! The host is terrible .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breathtaking location, perched over cliffs on western edge of Europe. Every room (out of 8) of this small hotel offers a marvellous view of the Atlantic. Adriano, Soraya and other staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Like many other hotels coming back to life after a tough pandemic year, there is a maintenance backlog- could do with a lick of paint here and there. But very easy to see past that: cliff-top path (an official trail) runs past the front of the hotel so perfect for hikers, nature lovers plus surfers; a dozen good beaches within easy walking distance, plus several good restaurants. Hiking highlights including dinosaur footprints on side of the cliff at Aguda; the extraordinary rocks at Ursa and Adraga beaches; plus a trip to the very pretty tidal pool and beach at Azenhas do Mar a mile away. I should also mentioned the breakfasts of eggs, fruit, chourico bread and home-baked cake etc. And the pod of dolphins that swam past at breakfast time...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful 180+ y/o home. Friendly and eager to help staff. Amazing views from balconies, rooms, and terraces. About 20min from Sintra and maybe double to Cascais.
Will absolutely stay here again!!
Con: Air conditioning is limited. However, in October I just opened my windows. This modern luxury was worth giving up for the views alone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is incredible, especially if you have a room with an ocean view - it's just to die for. Also the proximity of the cliffs, the beach nearby, a village with several restaurants and a grocery store, and parking at the hotel makes the location truly exceptional.
Unfortunately the hotel itself is in a poor condition - gates are rusted away, room had little to no amenities (not even hooks in the bathroom), furniture and towels seen way better days, and there's an unpleasant smell that was faint enough to get used to but unpleasant enough to be noticeable now and then. So on one hand it's a very romantic place, on the other the conditions spoil the romantic atmosphere a bit.
Staff is very friendly and helpful though, arranged an early breakfast just for us as we were leaving early.
