S	Sónia Silvestre on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place to stay in Serra da Estrela. The houses are lovely and the staff is very nice and helpful. Love the tradition of having the fresh bread every morning placed on our door. Will come back on every chance.

It is isolated from de big turistic areas on the mountain and you get a good sense of how people really lived there in the old days. Very special place for those who love to be in harmony with nature and enjoy the simple pleasure of a fireplace in the cold days with the sound of the water down the river. The owner of the houses is a very friendly person always available to help with everything you need wich makes you feel like home. We simply loved it!!!

It is a flat in a beautiful stone house located in the landside of Portugal from where you can do a lot of trips to spots that Ana can recommend you. The apartement is very clean and has everything that it needs for sleeping, living, cooking etc. Ana is very kind as well as her daughter who stayed in Seia during our trip. Communication was always good with them, means both they really cared about us having a nice holiday. We really can recommend Ana's apartement to have nice vacations in Portugal.

We've got free laundry service and when asked if it's possible to order a birthday cake, received a superb one with champagne, straight from local bakery. You will not regret to stay here!

The breakfast is delivered daily at you door with delicious region products. The owner is very friendly and always available to help. The landscape is awesome and you can easily go at any point of the Serra da Estrela or Seia City. Definitely deserves a come back.
C	Catia Almeida Pereira on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved my experience. Stayed there for a long weekend and it was absolutely lovely. The staff is so kind an helpful. They are every attentive, we used the fire place, and even though there was a large amount of wood and we barely used a fraction, and the next morning they had placed more wood outside our door just in case. There is a very friendly cat which I don't think is theirs but he hung out around our house. If you are a dog/cat lover this is definitely the place for you. We stayed in their smallest option and the roof above the bedroom was a little low, if you are on the taller side you'll have to duck, but you don't stand while sleeping so it's okay! Honestly, the place felt very homey, and I'd highly recommend it.

The owner very nicely refilled our wood stock, so we could enjoy the coziness of the charming stone house troughout the weekend! The location is great, close to Seia and the hiking trails of Serra da Estrella. Highly recommended!
K	Kathrine Seyfried on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stay here! Nestled in the Serra da Estrela, just outside of Seia, the Casas da Ribeira is a wonderful retreat. The apartments are located in a small village that feels as restful as it does alive with mountain dogs, sheep, local cats... Catarina and Ana are superb hosts: they have and make wonderful recommendations; are attentive to all of your needs; and make delicious jam. The apartments themselves are perfectly sized for a small family or group of friends (we stayed in a 2 bedroom). They all have some outdoor space and/or a fireplace to set the tone of your holiday even better. I cannot say enough about our trip here- definitely stay here!
