★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pena estar vedado ao publico. Deveria ser reabilitado, tristeza. Ainda se vê alguns arcos na torre. Vista panorâmica bem bonita e lagoa junto ao castelo.
 It is a pity that the public is prohibited. It should be rehabilitated, sadness. There are still some arches in the tower. Very beautiful panoramic view and lagoon next to the castle.

Locally known by its more illustrious name of Castelo Real de Montoito.
Inside there are still some Islamic inscriptions visible. That is if one could visit this privately owned castle...
Some minor restoration being done around 1990.
Since 1910 it is a National Monument. However the castle is nowadays more of a ruin.
