A sua “torre apresenta como característica ter sido executada posteriormente à construção da igreja, motivando a demolição da torre primitiva e ser uma estrutura tripartida que nobilitou esta igreja paroquial pelas suas extraordinárias dimensões. Esta torre sineira, exemplar magnífico, quer pela importância dos seus executantes e arquiteto de renome, quer pelas suas dimensões, constitui ainda hoje um marco arquitetónico na paisagem desta freguesia.“
A referida torre foi alvo de um relâmpago, tendo sido restaurado em 1920/21.
Very beautiful and well maintained religious building.
Its “tower has as a characteristic to have been executed after the construction of the church, motivating the demolition of the primitive tower and to be a tripartite structure that made this parish church noble by its extraordinary dimensions. This bell tower, a magnificent example, both because of the importance of its performers and renowned architect, and because of its dimensions, is still today an architectural landmark in the landscape of this parish. “
The tower was struck by lightning and was restored in 1920/21.
