★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situada na parte baixa e histórica de Tancos, mesmo em frente ao rio Tejo, a Igreja da Misericórdia, à semelhança da Irmandade da Misericórdia de Tancos, terá surgido na década de oitenta do século XVI. Segundo a inscrição do portal do templo, a igreja ficou concluída em 1585, pensa-se que a mando de D. Francisco de Ataíde, primeiro Conde de Atalaia.
 Located in the low and historic part of Tancos, right in front of the Tagus River, the Igreja da Misericórdia, like the Brotherhood of Misericórdia de Tancos, appeared in the eighties of the 16th century. According to the inscription on the temple portal, the church was completed in 1585, it is thought that at the behest of D. Francisco de Ataíde, first Count of Atalaia.
