Test bit uncomfortable, the staff are very nice and friendly

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Asked for an antigen test for my flight, they asked me when I fly and I told them it was on Sunday afternoon and that I wanted a test on Saturday morning. They said it was better to do it on Friday because I would not get the results and that it would be ok with the airline. Did the test Friday at 5.30pm and received the results at 8.30am Saturday. But the time I took my flight on Sunday the tests were no longer valid and I had to redo a test at the airport !!!

On time, professional and carefull nurse, good attention to detail and finally - the results were delivered by email the next morning, well within the 24h.
Went on a Wednesday afternoon at 4pm, only good experience throughout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In June I went to the institute to have an antigen test before I took the plane.
I was not indifferent to this experience and I am not the only one.
The people waiting in line outside all heard a man yelling while he was making the test. His wife then outside told us that she had already taken the test 7 times and informed us that she had never experienced anything so painful.
Having been warned, I begged the nurse to be gentle as I had a sensitive nose. She ignored what I said and pushed the swab as deep as she could and twisted it in my nose until I could take no more and had to grab her arm to make her stop.
Seeing that this was unbearable, she told me that I had to do the second nostril, although I already had all the necessary information about her swab.
My friend who came right after me, told me that I had to remove my arm with a violent gesture to make her stop. Which she did, leaving the cotton swab in her nose.
I had the impression of having been in the hands of an executioner. The woman didn't speak, she performed with undisguised pleasure.
And frankly, when I left there, I had the impression that I had been abused, so in shock I didn't even think to ask for the complaints book.
At the end of the session, I demanded a copy of the data protection document, which we didn't have time to read before signing.
The lady who was in charge of the papers told me that it was too complicated to print that sheet.
Also the two nurses were very unfriendly.
I strongly advise against the center of Tavira.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ LATE RESULTS BEWARE Had a rapid antigen test here at 9am Saturday morning to fly at 7.10am on the Sunday. Was assured the results would be with me within 4-12 hours, explained when I was flying etc. had to get tested at the airport as my result never came through and I’m still waiting.
Waste of €25 and my time and feel like I’ve been cheated. Make sure they can guarantee your test results will be e-mailed on time or at least make sure you can go down there and complain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Compared to the kind and gentle antigen test I received at Boots in Leeds city centre this one in Tavira in a converted garage (sterile and very clean however) at Germano de Sousa was brutal!
I was initially relaxed but soon was struggling in shock and pain. I can't understand the need to go so far up inside the nose and scape around with such harsh insensitivity? Plus the 'nurse' insisted she do the swab twice in the same nostril because she hadn't got far enough up there! It was actually painfully intrusive and I almost felt like it was a kind of violation. In comparison it was painless in the UK and only a bit tickly. By contrast this one was more than uncomfortable it actually hurt and made my eyes water. It was more like a trip to the dentist than what should be a straightforward painless test.
I will never use this clinic again and do not recommend it.
The results however came well within 24 hours.
