★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paseando por Elvas te encuentras esta capilla y al entrar te quedas deslumbrado por el altar barroco que allí hay y los paneles de azulejos. La capilla pertenece a la Orden Tercera aún pero no creo que tenga culto. La mantiene abierta un voluntario de la Orden seglar. Su trato y su simpatía fueron sobresalientes y su historia también: los pocos que quedan mantienen abierta la iglesia para los turistas y la mantienen con donaciones. Tendríamos que ser más conscientes del trabajo desinteresado que las personas hacen en muchos campos, y este es uno de ellos. Es gratuito así que no seais racanos y donar aunque sea un euro.
Walking through Elvas you find this chapel and when you enter you are dazzled by the baroque altar there and the tile panels. The chapel belongs to the Third Order yet but I don't think it has a cult. It is kept open by a volunteer of the Secular Order. His treatment and sympathy were outstanding and his history also: the few that remain keep the church open for tourists and keep it with donations. We would have to be more aware of the selfless work that people do in many fields, and this is one of them. It is free so do not be racanos and donate even one euro.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Igreja dos Terceiros, em Elvas, é uma pérola um pouco perdida no meio de tantas atrações da cidade. Obra prima do barroco, com um fenomenal altar de talha dourada e vários painéis de azulejos que contam a vida de São Francisco de Assis.
The Church of the Third, in Elvas, is a little pearl lost in the midst of so many attractions in the city. Baroque masterpiece, with a phenomenal altar of gilded carving and several panels of tiles that tell the life of St. Francis of Assisi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apenas com uma nave, este templo católico, pertencente à ordem terceira de S. Francisco tem um belíssimo altar barroco. Destacam-se os azulejos alusivos à vida de S. Francisco. No pátio interior tem uma cisterna com seus baixos relevos representando paisagens locais.
Pena não cumprirem e respeitarem os horários estabelecidos, nem avisarem os turistas que se deslocam até aqui quando estão encerrados.
With only one nave, this Catholic temple, belonging to the third order of S. Francisco, has a beautiful baroque altar. The tiles depicting the life of S. Francisco stand out. In the inner courtyard there is a cistern with its bas-reliefs representing local landscapes.
It's a shame they don't comply and respect the established schedules, nor warn tourists who travel here when they are closed.
