★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food took very long to reach the table and it wasn't even worth the wait. We ordered the grilled rabbit meat and octopus and thought the foods lacked any sort of flavour from the flesh besides the bitter char-grilled taste. To be fair, the sardines tasted pretty good but the overall experience was rather unpleasant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best chocolate musses I had in Portugal and I do eat a lot of them. Delicious traditional sandwiches, good wine and beautiful vibe. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered the grilled chicken with fries and salad and it was probably one of the best grilled chicken I ever had.
Why it only got a 4 star was because when we first came in the server put bread, butter And fries h'odeurs on the table And quickly said "you eat you pay, don't eat don't pay" and walked away, didn't hear it clearly, almost started eating it and found out that each piece of the fried food was 1€ and he put maybe 6-8 pieces, bread and butter was about 3€... Not sure if this is something Portuguese custom but never came across this in my travels. Not a fan of that. Also tithe large beer we ordered was 3,50€ and it was a fairly small compared to other restaurants we ate at.
Besides that, food was very good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dishonest owner, charged 4 euros for a small beer then when I asked for a receipt, it said a pint (caneca) didn't bother to argue due to language barrier but best to avoid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fresh fish and meat, friendly service but very little english communication. Not all dishes in stock, only those which they currently have fresh. Prices very reasonable, this is a great advantage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant was recommended to us by a local because they use coal to roast the meat and fish.
We had the grilled sardines, the grilled salmon and the tuna steak. It was amazing. The food came quick and was very tasty. If you look for authentic Portuguese food a bit away from the tourist hot spots: look no further. Menu is available in all the main languages
