★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Insanely good food. Worth the wait whilst a little dude sparks up the BBQ. You will have the fish dish of your life!! Bring a pack of cards like the locals and enjoy the stupidly cheap but awesome red wine :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I visited Nazare on a hot summer day and discovered Cochinha de Nazare by wandering around the tiny streets near the waterfront. We had the seafood special. It came as a huge platter with a large mixture of seafood. Some we were not certain exactly what it was. If you order the seafood platter, plan to use your fingers and lots of napkins. It seemed like about half and half tourists and locals were there for lunch the day we were there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunatly we have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The food was good, fresh fish and dishes. Service was fast (we were only 3 clients that night). After a good meal, we asked for the bill... What a surprise to see that the Mise en Bouche was not offered, but charges 7,50€ !!! Half the Price of our main course! We didn't ask for it but had to pay in the end. That was a total shame for the owners that simply said "you ate what we put on the table, so now you have to pay us". This ending to our nice evening until then, was horrible ! What a scam! We make sure not to go to a touristic restaurant, in order to be fare the local people, and this is what we got! Please be carefull, and don't ever think locals could just simply be nice and welcoming to you !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You cannot get fresher seafood in a more authentic environment than this. Quaint restaurant, a bit hidden off of the main drag. Friendly service and the fresh fish is grilled right outside the door. Everything was prepared simply and perfectly.
