This food was not a proper representation of Portuguese food. The clams were not fresh, neither was the salmon ceviche.

My mother says it’s the best steak she’s ever had. Wait staff spoke perfect English and was perfectly attentive.

4 dishes and are all good! Price is pretty reasonable , would love to visit again! Do make reservation or you might not able to get a table.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give a 0 I would, we waited one hour for our dish, kept being told to wait a little longer. They told us the delay was due to everything being made from scratch. When the food finally arrived it was raw.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we chose this restaurant for our first night out in Porto and what a wonderful coincidental find that was!
Any other place we have tried to look before in this part of Porto was crowded and full but we were very lucky. The waiters were really friendly and recommended us some of their best and some of the typical local foods (take a look at the photos).
What we noticed were their large collection of various wines, from which we tried out two - both very delicious!
We recommend to go here with not more than 2 people, otherwise you won't be as lucky as we were...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozinha dos Lóios is a small, cozy restaurant. You can find many of this kind in Porto and they are simply outstanding. So is the Cozinha dos Lóios.
It is not a tourist trap, it is a very well run local restaurant. We were lucky this evening and were able to get a table for two. It makes sense to make a reservation here.
The restaurant has a nice interior. It is naturally a bit cramped there, because small but that should not matter.
The food was outstanding. The various tapas are very tasty and the main course was also very good. The quality which you get there is awesome. The price is also in the normal range (tapas about 5 euros, the main course 18). You notice that is cooked with love and homemade.
The service was also very nice. Always on hand, always friendly and also very helpful with questions.
It is definitely worth a visit.
