★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perhaps a 3-Star *** Hotel. The welcome staff, Vanessa was awesome as were the others. Be prepared to carry your own luggage and not be asked for assistance. Food is average or less. Terrace room are decent with a nice walkout area with very uncomfortable but stylish chairs. Shower is awesome! View is spectacular, pool is ok, chairs uncomfortable and I asked for a cushion for my lounger and never received. They use a couple of speakers in a window seal above the pool blaring on a static-laden radio station...impressive. No coffee or tea in room. Seemed understaffed, and is definitely run on the cheap. Decent stay for travelers looking for a deal and limited quality of experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has great views and it is aesthetically pleasing. The service is good: the rooms are cleaned thoroughly, the towels and bed are soft, the staff is approachable and there are multiple great services available. However, the wifi is really bad. Signal was only available from the hotel's reception, never available inside the rooms. When staff was approached, they were nice and tried to help, but didn't find a solution (and didn't call an expert to help either). The restaurant's food is mediocre and expensive, but breakfast is amazing. It's an overall nice place but it is lacking some basic services that would elevate it to excellence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved this hotel. Views from the rooms are amazing. Very nice rooms. Bed comfortable. Chairs on the balconies would be a great addition to be able to sit outside. Breakfast selection was perfect. Good service at front desk. We would definitly come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful setting and views. The patio and restaurant areas are stunning and the primary attraction. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The included breakfast is surprisingly good. Every room has a (one person) balcony overlooking the river. The room was very nice, although in need of a deep clean and some maintenance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rooms and bathrooms and facilities overall aren't super fancy, but are very clean and worthy for the affordable price. There aren't doors on some of the bathrooms and the bathrooms lack privacy (windows into your bedroom portion). But the sweeping views of the Douro River from your balcony, and the amazing breakfast spread, pretty much make up for that! We also couldn't find a way to turn on any air conditioning, so the room was hot. Otherwise, great service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent a wonderful night at the Delfim Douro Sep 24. Staff, especially Cesar at the bar, was super friendly, food and drinks delicious, rooms very comfortable, views of the Douro river magical. Everything we needed to rejuvenate in the middle of our tour de Portugal. Obrigado!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really friendly people plus the views from the bedrooms or basically from everywhere are superb to the Douro River. The hotel itself is really good not to big but still has everything we need to have a good experience. Definitely a place to visit again.
