c	clive langman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed my stay just before the covid outbreak. The room was smart and very clean, if tight for space, with an excellent shower. Location great and staff friendly and helpful. Decent value as well for a capital city. Only thing not to my liking was breakfast...good choice and quality but I'd rather have this included in the price, even if means paying more, rather than paying for every single item which then adds up to a price that you would never pay in the UK. Still you can always go out, plenty of local choice, and it would not put me off returning. In fact I'd like to.
M	Mette Willert on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Room 42 in Lisbon . . . Shortly before my trip, I booked a four-day stay at the hotel Cosmopolitan Esquina Lodge on Rua de Madalena. The hotel has a great location for everything from restaurants, museums to coffee places. The hotel lies on the border between the old hilly area of Alfama and the modern city with its straight streets. Sweet hotel staffs welcomed me, and they were very helpful with lots of useful insider tips. But I especially loved the magnificent view of the city from the balcony in my hotel room and had lots of fun taking pictures of the curtains. PS and the best hotel towels ever.

The staff were really lovely and went out of their way to recommend local hotspots and restaurants, ways to get around etc. The location was fabulous as well, right across the road from one of the best Bifama spots in Lisboa which was a great plus, and a short walk from the metro and train stations, as well as from the Sao Jorge Castle. Would recommend for a stay in Lisboa!

Our flight was early in the morning and they got us fruit so we could snack on since we wouldn’t be able to eat breakfast. Not to mention the food here was also some of the best I have ever had!

Managment willingly rents out whole of the first floor for private parties in the middle of the week along with rooms for party people to stay over afterwards. After the party is done downstairs at 2 in the morning - everything moves up the floor to continue on for the rest of the night in the hotel’s rooms. Noise complaints are met with “we can’t do anything about it, it’s a private event” response and it’s pretty much impossible to have any sleep. Its a small venue and there should be no problem to close it off completely for such events, however management clearly wants both tabs paid - from the bar by the party people and regular guest trying to have an early jump on the next day. Avoid this hotel if you are looking for a place to sleep at night without calling cops to mediate the situation. It’s strange to pay for the stay and have 0 respect for guest’s wellbeing.

The staff really anticipate your needs, and are so accommodating and lovely. When we checked out they let us keep all our bags there so we could walk around and enjoy the city. And then called us a cab to the train station. 10/10 would stay here again!

The hotel was really clean, modern, and really nice. Loved the view from my room. It also has a great location. It was also really close to everything. Loved this hotel and the staff. I will definitely go back.

They have the room cleaning ?? service everyday which is very convenient. The night sleep ? was really amazing, super quiet, nice bedding and great temperature. The room was pretty small with not many storage and room to put the stuff on. The shower ? with a glass door is not really recommended for families. Breakfast is 14 ? per person with a 24 hours notice that we didn't take. Overall super great experience, thank you!
