Kinda ok

The most important art school in Portugal. Beautiful building, nice atmosphere and two small galleries to visit. If your dream is to develop your artistic skills, try the summer courses in painting, sculpture, drawing contemporary and digital art.

I can't for the love of me, understand how this faculty even has people rating it anywhere over 3. (Even giving it 3 stars is kinda stretching it). Mediocre at best. Poor, poor....facilities, very little space for the students in most of the rooms (oh, how often would we have to stand up or sit on the filthy stone floor for the entire duration of the class, which could take up to around 3+ hours ) The building might be old, but that's hardly an excuse for never upgrading the facilities and tools... I'm talking about basic things here: chairs, tables, easels... A BETTER GEOMETRY CLASSROM, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. (It is SO cramped, and over half of the class won't even be able to see the board or hear the teacher) No infirmary for common hazards when using certain tools ( hi sculpture students) , not enough free rooms where students can work on their projects outside of school hours (since most of them are sleeping in flimsy, minuscule rooms with no conditions, I would think this to be something ESSENTIAL in an art school) . Incompetent, rude secretary staff that do not take student matters seriously. And the professors........ that's another can of worms entirely that I just struggle to even begin opening I'd be lying if I said there weren't a handful of them that I absolutely adored and will keep fond memories of. But the majority of them is so stuck in their dusty old ways, it is MADDENING. A lot of them will not allow digital art of any form inside their classes even when it should clearly be a viable type of artform in said class. And quite a lot of them highly disregard illustration as a whole, for being too "figurative" , apparently. God help you if you came into this college with an illustration mindset. no, seriously.
