We had the octopus with mashed potatoes and the salted cod with mashed chickpeas. Octopus was pretty good but the cod came with bones and was a bit chewy.

A bit disappointing, I had the pork belly with roasted potatoes - flavor wise it was good, but the pork belly was hard / not melt in your mouth, and served lukewarm. Next time I'll have to try another stall

Outstanding!!! Great service, attentive, detailed and the dishes we chose were delightful. You must try the Polvo-octopus and potatoes dish!

We spent an afternoon at the time out market. We had the most amazing food in Portugal and loved the many items we'd ordered at other stores in Time Out. We selected the Marlene Viera stand for our big dish because it offered a big variety. Also she's the only female chef represented at Time Out! We got a dish that had 5 snacks which seemed like an opportunity to try a lot of foods (why we went to timeout to begin with.) I really wish we'd gone elsewhere for our main dish. This was a giant disappointment. The dish was 18€ I believe. We were given a beeper and waited ~30 min, perhaps a bit longer. Yes, the market was busy, but we waited far longer here than the other places we visited, and it was way too long of a wait for the food we were given, which required almost no preparation. 3/5 snacks were cold salads. The mushroom with quail egg was very good. The beef sandwich was good but lukewarm. The octopus salad was the worst we had in Portugal (there for 3 weeks, we are a lot of it) with tiny pieces of octopus and a taste totally overcome with green pepper. The mussel salad was underwhelming. The chickpea salad was not flavorful and had tough chunks of unflavored fish it it. Really not a good dish. I don't recommend it. If they're using this dish to showcase all of their food items, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Truly, I was sad we'd spent lunch on our 2nd to last day there with so many excellent options!

I would recommend this place. We had an amazing seafood risotto, fresh and delicious. Then we had a speciality of the day - grilled codfish, but it was with bones and swimming in oil… I don’t recommend that. Also we had an octopus with mashed potatoes and that was great. Overall, 4 stars. :) and wine was good:)

Very poorly executed dishes - we tried three. Cannot distinguish any taste as it was overloaded with salt. Saggy, stinky fish drenched in oil. Huge disappointment. We were expecting much more from a place like this . Highly recommended not to come here.

Excellent. The octopus on mashed potato with spinach leaves is their signature dish — a tad expensive but absolutely worth it. It’s cooked to perfection, bringing out the flavours of the sea nicely with the mashed potato serving as great contrast. Definitely worth checking out, some of the best place on the market.

Had the famous grilled octopus, beef and cod dishes and they are all very tasty. The octopus and beef are tender and delicious, and the potatoes are well seasoned. The purée with the cod are scrumptious ?
