★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very well preserved fortress on the Alentejo coastline.
Its great to enjoy the fresh air, the spray of the ocean, the stunning sunsets over the nearby island.
The fortress, can be explored throughout, top to bottom.
Nice to combine with beach activities, I would take a snack with me because the neighbouring café is in my opinion awful, overpriced, unfriendly and not worth the trouble.
