★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O Monumento a Gomes Ferreira de Andrade estava localizado do outro lado da Avenida Marginal, em terrenos que hoje pertencem à NATO, motivo porque foi deslocado para o lado oposto da Avenida, mas decapitaram o monumento e esconderam-no no meio de arbustos. O que hoje se pode ver é apenas a base do monumento, mais parecendo uma lápide funerária que um monumento. Não chegava a morte ignomiosa deste General, até o monumento foi tratado de forma ignomiosa.
