Very quiet villa up in the hills, unbelievable view of the sea which you can enjoy from the pool, gorgeous rooms which are actually self contained little homes, breakfast hung on your door in the morning, very reasonable rates. The woman who runs the place accommodated us at the last minute and treated us like VIPs, arranging a driver to take us to and from the beach and even driving us to the rail station ourselves. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would highly recommend this lovely hotel which offers several self-catering options situated in the lush grounds of a lovely house overlooking Setubal bay and the fort with stunning views. I had a cabin which was private and cosy, rather than spacious, but very comfortable with a kitchenette and sunny deck with the lovely vista of the bay and Atlantic. There are two very friendly Portuguese farm dogs who come and say hello and a pool which, as is usual in Portgal, is not heated so pretty much unusable outside of summer! The two ladies who run the place are charming and very helpful and bring you breakfast goods in the morning if you want them
Setubal with it's great restaurants, cafes and market is 3 mins by car and you can park easily - around the hotel are nice walks in the woods. The Setubal and Arrabida beaches are 5-15 mins away along the nearby coast road and the park trails also 10mins - Lisbon is 30-40mins
Great place if you want a private, self catering option!
