★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and located perfectly just inside the wall. Lucy was a wonderful resource for local tips and even booked a table for us so we wouldn't miss the meal we had our hearts set on. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it for anyone with Evora on their itinerary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our “prestige room” was large and looked nice. We both were affected by the amount of dust that made it uncomfortable. Also be aware the towels are washed with perfume, so if you are sensitive to those chemicals there is no other option for drying off* (thankfully, the sheets were not). It rained one evening and the hotel did not have umbrellas to lend; that seemed odd for a “four star” boutique hotel. Yes, I’m reviewing the correct hotel. Staff said all the umbrellas were used by guests in the other suite, so not enough umbrellas, and yes, the towels are perfumed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel garden patio and library area are terrific, games and books and a bar for drinks or tea. Breakfast room is nice and rooms are spacious. The hotel staff are very nice but they have to go back and forth between roles so patience is required but overall, I think we got great value and the location is fantastic and walking distance to everything. Try the Pasteleria down the street with excellent cappuccinos!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a wonderful place!!! Rooms are very spacious, clean and bed is very very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and the hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay and explore the lovely town of Evora and surrounding areas. We will stay again
