★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice, clean hotel which is furnished and decorated with good taste. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious enough, the staff is kind and helpful. The breakfast is tasty with a wide choice of different food and drinks. The room service is avaiable, but the amount of the food is small compared to the price of it. The city centre is not very far, can be reached on foot as well. There is a metro station not too far from the hotel. The sea, however, is about a 20-25-minute taxi ride from here. I enjoyed my stay here.

Hotel Cristal is a nice hotel. I had a simple, clean room. The housekeeping is wonderful.
Standard breakfast. Enough choice.
If you like to walk a lot like me, keep in mind that it takes at least 20 minutes (down) to get to the old town of Porto. Public transport (bus and metro) is nearby. The neighborhood itself is quite neglected, but don't let it scare you of. It is still a great starting point to explore the interesting city.
The hotel is also a twenty minute drive from the airport.
Note: The breakfast buffet is closed due to the COVID 19 situation. Breakfast is served at the table by an attentive, friendly, but unfortunately in my opinion, rushed, inefficient service. This vacation, my order did not arrive or was late four times! At one point I just stepped out and had breakfast outside the door. Can happen. It is the only minus I have experienced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed in this hotel in March 2020 for a couple of days. Such a beautiful place and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast are the best. Cafe da manhã is the best. Highly recommended place. Hope to comeback again soon. Muito obrigado!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 9/10 would be fairer, the only real issues being a cigarette butt in the toilet, the dior to the terrace not locking and the safe not working. However, the latter two were sorted very quickly and we just flushed the butt away! The hotel was otherwise recommendable; nice and helpful staff, tasty breakfast, clean and spacious room...
