Rooms very spacious and clean Bed so comfy Only downside the hot breakfast was only warm but plenty other choices

This is by far the most beautiful hotel that you can have in the south of Portugal. The rooms are actually big apartments with a huge balcony and a stunning view. It's located in the first line with a direct view of the ocean. Even if you take side view you can still see perfectly the ocean and the beach. The rooms are very clean and the stuff extremly nice. We were helped by a very nice person (named Claudio) and another young man who helped us book a room for a week and made huge efforts to provide the best room with the best view (although we didn't book in advance and summer time in Portimao can be very busy). The coffee is another strong point which made my stay just perfect. Totally recommend!!!

Great location minutes from the beach, transport and restaurants. Large studio rooms with all facilities that might be needed. Clean and spacious with friendly staff.

Really enjoyed our stay here but wish we'd paid extra for a sea view room! Breakfast was fab with lots of choice & good coffee. Only downside was there was no tea or coffee in the rooms & considering this was 4 star I would have expected this. Will be back next time we stay in praia da rocha.

LAZY AND CHEAP DINNER MENU. Not that my opinion really matters for this hotel but we are here for 8 days (still here actually). The rooms were spacious and the staff were generally nice. The food, however, was such a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT for us. The breakfast was always the same (which is perhaps normal). But there was no "regular buffet" which were expecting for dinner. We were served decent plated food on the first night but on the succeeding nights the food became worse and worse. Every night we were always served some stir fried veggies with some fried meat/fish. The type of veggie and meat/fish were changed but it is still just stir fried. WE HAD TO EAT THIS SO CALLED FOOD FOR ALL OUR DINNERS or choose to just go somewhere else to eat. The pasta sauce (based on my observation) were just reheated everyday. They seem to be not cooked everyday as they claim since I noticed how the tomato sauce gets reduced due to constant reheating. I talked to the manager on the 5th day and expressed our disappoitntment but to no avail. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS IMPROVED OR OFFERED AS CONSOLATION. They simpy told us that there are not so many guests checked in that is why they don't offer the "normal buffet" THAT WE ACTUALLY PAID FOR. That kind of reasoning is simply unacceptable, silly and even unprofessional specially for this kind of hotel. That response certainly made us feel unimportant. Why not offer BETTER FOOD since you serve fewer people during low peak season? This is the perfect time to give better service and not to relax on your standards. The "mini-buffet dinner" (which is really tiny) is good for those staying overnight. But for those staying longer, that spells nightmare. Sadly, we ended up having to eat outside for dinner from our 6th night onwards. My wife actually had to skip dinner from the 4th night!!! Too bad that we have to unnecessarily spend more money just to eat somewhete else. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ I am not sure either if the management cares for feedback but I just want to warn others who are contemplating on staying here during low peak seasons. Save your money. Find other similar hotels which doesn't sacrifice quality and service during low seasons.

Fab hotel! Beachfront location, very clean, fantastic rooms and amazing breakfast selection. All in all great hotel for the area and great value. Would highly recommend

Beautiful hotel in a great location rooms a very clean big and well kitted out .check in and out was very quick and all the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Very good selection at the breakfast buffet..there was a bowl of fruit in our room on arrival. A very nice surprise for my wife on her birthday the hotel brought a bottle of champagne and a slice of birthday cake to our room .highly recommend this hotel .thank you hotel de rocha for a great stay .
