★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure about the hotel, but the restaurant is great with a fantastic view over the river! Outdoor siting is also available.
The food is delicious and good for the price. Vegetarian options available. Some options were not available at the moment we visited.
Friendly staff. Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly staff. The restaurant has very good food so you don't need to worry about going out. The views are amazing and you can get to the river in a walking distance. However, the cleanness in the rooms needs some attention. The furniture and decision are a bit outdated (from the eighties).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although the views are amazing and the surroundings are very quiet and peaceful, this is not a 4 star hotel... the shower had a lot of pressure, which is great and almost non-existent in other hotels, but the water was not hot... thankfully we went there in the summer! Also, we could listen a guest snoring in another room!!
Breakfast was very simple, but everything was fresh.
We also had dinner at their restaurant. My husband had a steak, which was good, and I had a risotto, which was unpalatable!! Fortunately the passion fruit pannacotta was good...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tuesday June 22 2021. 4 people touring by car dropping in casually at lunchtime in this very upscale and beautiful place enjoyed top-notch food & wines, hearty, friendly service at extremely reasonable prices. Top rating for quality/price, location and ambience .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This nice hotel is in a beautiful location overseeing the lake and surrounded by hills. The room is big, comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. One and a half hour away from Lisbon this is a perfect place for a weekend getaway with family and friends. Also great if you're into water sports, trail running and hiking Definitely going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its definitely a nice place to stay a couple of days, well located and with stunning views over Castelo de Bode lake valley and dam. Sunset view from our balcony was stunning. The room was comfortable, clean and you should book with "lake view". It has a nice swimming pool which we have not used more due to the wind hitting during our stay. There is served a good breakfast and the restaurant do have good options which we tried and were delicious. Just the bar/restaurant service needs improvement with more dedicated employees. it would be a 4.5 rating.
