Simplesmente maravilhosa!
Simply wonderful! Whoever sees it from the outside does not imagine, at all, what goes on inside! Outside, there are several protruding buttresses that support the south-facing facade. The main facade, facing west, is flanked by two towers (although only one has bells). There is an image of Santiago on the pediment. Under the main marble portal, a rectangular window is topped, in turn, by a circular oculus, which are the only sources of light for the interior. The interior is entirely covered with tiles and murals from various eras and has three altars and a chapel (from Santa Ana). The high choir can also be visited. Access to the interior is through the main portal and the side portal that accesses the chapel of Santa Ana.

Probably the most beautiful church from Evora... It is really incredible and off the tourists maps, I really can't understand why... Dona Maria Angelica the Church's guardian is a show apart, she knows about the history, the painting and everything you could ask, she takes care of this place by herself. From the outside you can't image how beautiful it is from the inside, take your time admiring the painting.
