How can a place so awful be a part of such a beautiful city? I was visiting a friend of mine, the terrace was full of trash and drunk students. This place certainly didn’t feel like a residential building. I would NEVER rent here!

This Is Surely The Worst Accommodation and a Scam In Europe! If you are planning on studying in Lisbon, I'd recommend avoiding Collegiate Marquês de Pombal for several reasons. The landlord DO NOT understand what is written in the "rental contract" If you insist the landlord (manager) to follow what is in the contract; they might ask to leave the place!! Secondly, this company is filled with a bunch of "liars and scammers"; initially you will be asked to pay a deposit in one bank account after you move-in they might ask to pay the rent in another account while giving you lame excuses such as their digital payment platform is broken for several months etc. And finally, Do NOT trust all the five-star reviews, they aren't legit!! Some of them are reviewed by their staff members!!

I recommended your place to a friend, but due the intense noise until 3AM, fire alarms on due smoked of some residents, and despite evidence of the noise sent to the management team, they did not do anything. My friend need silence to study and to sleep, you charged him 900 euros a month of rent, which is crazy for me. So a bit of quality hosting during is studies is necessary. Otherwise, I already told him to move out but is his decision!

Awful. The rooms are too expensive for what you get. The soundproofing is TERRIBLE - you can hear everything between the thin walls. If you get a room is on the lower floor; you will be living in a dark room, with the noise from the traffic. The rooms on the top floor; you will be living with the bunch of noisy students at your door front until 2-3 am in the morning. My verdict; don’t spend your money for such a 3rd class place. You deserve a better place!

I recommend to all the students reading this to have an experience at Collegiate. This 2 years experience was by far the best in my life. The rooms, the common spaces and above all the staff working there are amazing, and I meant it 100%. Will always remember this period of my life. All the best ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Although the common areas are very nice and the people your meet are great, the overpriced rooms and the managers treating you like children are just some of the reasons why this residence is truly a 2 star. During COVID, the rules changed randomly based on what they felt like they wanted. Such as closing the rooftop after 11PM due to COVID while leaving the common areas inside open. Does COVID spread better outside or what logic are they using ??? This residence is a joke and you get treated very badly. Some rules are only applied to certain people and others are overly applied on others. Managers have a huge lack of communication with the receptionist which makes any issues with the managers impossible to solve. The rooms are small and overpriced for what you can get in Lisbon and if you get a room facing the inside of the place, say good bye to keeping your windows open without having another 30 rooms with clear vision inside yours. Other issues I've had with Collegiate include, accidentally ordered something in the wrong address and collegiate simply rejected the package and wouldn't accept it. Another one is and this one is very common to everyone is the extra charges to "damages"in the room. I must say that some of the staff members are amazing and truly deserve better management in order for this residence to get better. Elder, Rui, Zé, Sergio, and Raquel deserve better management. Edit for the collegiate owners -- The issues mentioned in this review were mentioned to your staff several hundred times and as mentioned in the review, the communication between staff and manages is lacking so drastically that the issues mentioned never made it up the chain of command. Or if they did, they were simply ignored.

Very good facilities but poor treatment by the staff. They look at and treat the clients (us) with arrogance. I put a complaint to them by email in April/May, they told me to wait a week for them to process it and talk to me (because I was and am very unhappy) and we are in September and I am still waiting for that reply. Very bad customer service and they don't know how to handle complaints. I have a lot of things to complain about, I sent them all in that email to Collegiate, but they ignore it and won't give me an answer. I am tired of trying to contact them. In addition, they have forced me to pay for services that they have not let me use because they are closed (I understand that they are rules by COVID, but then do not charge me the same price as if all the services were open). I was very excited to live in Collegiate, but it was such a disappointment. It was disappointment after disappointment. There are so many better places in Lisbon to stay. I feel like I threw away my money and my excitement. I do NOT recommend it, my stay in Lisbon has been much worse thanks to them.
